The different systems allow access by:

• A single general pass, or master key, opening all the cylinders in the organization chart,

• A partial pass, or secondary key, ensuring the opening of a set of doors,

• An individual key, which can only open one access.



The effectiveness of systems depends primarily on how the organizational chart is designed. ABUS therefore offers complete support with a free audit of the site to be secured. Conducted by an ABUS expert, this audit serves to guide administrations in creating their organizational charts and selecting cylinders. It also assists them in their plans to expand their organizational charts.



ABUS expertise also supports the implementation of mechatronic flowcharts combining mechanical cylinders and electronic cylinders.

The cylinder is at the heart of securing any door or access point. In addition to the strength and versatility of the cylinder itself, efficient and sustainable management and deployment of the key system are essential to ensure security, convenience, and flexibility in buildings. ABUS mechanical cylinders are high-quality, “made in Germany” products featuring cutting-edge technology. These locking systems are patented, giving them a high level of security against illicit key duplication, extraction, and other malicious acts. Within this range, the ABUS Modular MX stands out for its flexibility.



A champion of modulation and time saving, the Modular MX cylinder allows the length of a cylinder to be adjusted on site with intermediate elements adaptable to all door thicknesses. Extensions are available in lengths from 5 to 40 mm, allowing for easy and tool-free cylinder adjustment. This cylinder enables rapid response to on-site situations and increased autonomy by eliminating stock management issues, as the cylinder size can be instantly adapted to the MX extensions.



The ABUS Modular MX system is safe and quick to adjust to the desired cylinder length in just a few steps. The basic length of 30/30 mm can be extended on both sides to a maximum of 200 mm (40/160, 100/100), ensuring maximum flexibility. A single fixing screw is all that is needed to adjust the length.



The high-strength stainless steel anti-drill insert and hardened steel pins inside the cylinder provide high protection as standard. The modular stainless steel threaded bore provides additional extraction protection.



The Modular MX system is available for the ABUS BRAVUS, VITESS and ZOLIT locking systems.

ABUS electronic cylinders

Flexible control to secure access



ABUS electronic cylinders provide an overview of building access: time profiles, remote authorization management via an application, etc. These control systems offer numerous possibilities for unlocking the door: a code, a key or a badge. With ABUS electronic cylinders, the time-consuming problems of lost keys are now solved. In addition, electronic cylinders can be expanded at any time (like the modular mechanical system), inserted into a mechanical control system, or supplemented by other security systems such as alarm or video surveillance systems.



Easy to install, ABUS CodeLoxx electronic cylinders with a combination or key fob fit any door. With the free ABUS Key Manager software, creating even the most complex key management systems is child's play. The software allows you to assign personalized access rights, set access time slots, and view access history.



• The ABUS CodeLoxx (up to 511 codes) effectively protects against intrusion and offers keyless convenience by entering your code at the knob. With the code, you can always get in, even if you lose your key or the door slams shut. Programming new codes and/or deleting them is possible at any time. A code for tradespeople carrying out work can therefore be deleted at the end of the project. In addition to the access code, it is possible to use an ABUS electronic key, which is also programmable. The keys can therefore be assigned variable entry rights.



• The CodeLoxx Proximity ABUS works with a badge which, when presented in front of the reading head, engages the cylinder. It can be programmed indefinitely and stores a history of the last thousand events. Programming user badges is very simple: the programming key is inserted into the lock, then the badge is passed over the reading head of the external button for 2 seconds. Deleting or reprogramming badges is just as easy.

As with badges, multiple ABUS electronic keys can be programmed to provide varying entry rights. The CodeLoxx Proximity allows the programming of 511 ABUS badges or keys.

Brunoy town hall chooses ABUS to secure its buildings

The town hall of Brunoy, a commune in Essonne in Île-de-France, has asked ABUS to support it in its project to set up a service center which is expected to be deployed across 35 municipal buildings.



The pilot project was carried out within a school group comprising a nursery school, a primary school, and a leisure center. This project involves securing 87 interior and exterior doors. Already equipped with ABUS cylinders, the town hall wanted to continue using the brand's products to gain autonomy, and decided to invest in a key cutting machine (FUTURA PRO). Thus, the key profile used for previous installations will be duplicated in order to maintain a single model, saving time and money.



ABUS cylinders will equip 2 doors



Fully satisfied with ABUS products, the municipality of Brunoy plans to deploy the pilot project on other buildings, and thus equip the 35 municipal buildings (a total of 2 doors).
