Aco makes designer shower drains
A key player in the field of water drainage, both inside and outside buildings, Aco has launched Shower Drain. As its name suggests, this product is designed for shower drainage. Its sophisticated aesthetic allows it to blend seamlessly into any existing decor.
Aco Shower Drain, the drain that combines design and quality
ACO - le global specialist in water drainage inside and outside buildings - is launching its new drainage range exclusively at the IDÉO Bains 2010 trade fair Shower Drain. From the aesthetic and elegant “ShowerLine” shower channel models, Shower Drain offers a much wider range of grilles, a wide choice of solutions, quality materials, modern finishes and of course flawless reliability.
Due to its design, Shower Drain is very trendy. Intended for traditional bathrooms, communal showers, swimming pools as well as more luxurious spaces such as spas, Shower Drain perfectly meets the expectations of architects and sanitation specialists. It also adapts perfectly to solutions for people with reduced mobility.
TWO DRAINAGE GUTTERS: SHOWERDRAIN TYPE C AND SHOWERDRAIN TYPE F
• ShowerDrain TYPE C, le "All in one" is very compact.
In fact, it is a compact system with an integrated siphon housing. The seal is connected to the gutter body's flap; shower water can seep through the tile joints, remain contained in the system but disappear when it evaporates.
This system has 3 installation possibilities with:
•A flap for an arrangement set back from the partition.
•A plinth riser for an arrangement at the foot of the partition.
•An outlet without a siphon for certain renovation solutions.
• ShowerDrain Type F “Two-step installation” is very flexible.
This is a system that allows any water that seeps into the siphon box to be recovered by creating a space between the tank and the seal glued to the siphon box plate. In this case, the water can be completely recovered in the siphon.
This system is telescopic and offers flexibility and adjustment of the grid support and its cover in 4 directions. The final result of the shower floor is impeccable because this solution avoids cutting the tiles.
These two systems offer either a standard 92 mm high trap body with a 50 mm water seal, or a lowered 65 mm high trap body with a 30 mm water seal. The lowered model is often recommended for building renovation sites.
MULTIPLICITY OF ADVANTAGES AND FINISHES FOR INCREASED PERFORMANCE
Recognized for their qualities, all products ACO use noble materials.
- The gutters of the systems Shower Drain are made from Z6CN 18-09 (AISI 304) quality stainless steel, whose corrosion resistance and long service life make it particularly resistant to aggressive environments such as chlorine.
- The siphons of the systems Shower Drain are made of polypropylene, a polymer plastic that is particularly resistant to high temperatures and chemical attacks.
- All materials used are 100% recyclable.
ACO combines design and compliance and thus offers evacuation devices designed with covers whose holes comply with the NF EN 1254 standard for barefoot areas: ˂ 8 mm.
- The system ShowerDrain CCompact offers 5 different covers with 4 new designs and 7 grid lengths ranging from 585 mm to 1185 mm. Two covers have been specially designed for this system: the tileable model which allows discreet integration of the channel into the shower floor and the model with a plinth riser for installation against the back wall.
- The system ShowerDrain Flexible offers 4 different covers with 3 new designs and 4 grid lengths of 685, 785, 885 and 985 mm.
The skills of the solutions Shower Drain are not limited to their wide range or the finish of their materials. ACO strives to offer accomplished products and therefore does not neglect any detail.
The design and perfect joining of the elements of Shower Drain ensure a reduction in noise emissions. The range ACO Shower Drain has been tested* according to DIN 4109 and SIA 181 to determine the noise transmission level. The noise impact of water on the grilles was measured at 27 dBA. DIN 4109 and VDI 4100 standards state a noise level of 30 dBA, which means that the range Shower Drain complies with the standards and also meets the requirements of the standard** for collective apartments.
*Tests carried out by the Fraunhofer Institute IBP, accredited by the DAP for carrying out tests according to the EN ISO/ICE 17025 standard.
**VDI Regulation 4100 for the standard for collective apartments.
