by the company T&G DISTRIBUTION

The network of distribution agencies of T&G Distribution, a subsidiary of the Berkem Group, is expanding with the acquisition of the company BRAY-CHARNELET PEINTURES located in Saint-Denis (department 93).

BRAY-CHARNELET PEINTURES was founded in 1875 in Saint Denis by Philippe CHARNELET's grandfather. The company was then called LA PASTORINE and manufactured paints for construction.
Three generations then followed and a store opened in the center of Paris to distribute alcohol-based varnishes intended for artisans.

At the end of 1984, Christian BRAY acquired the company following the death of Philippe Charnelet. He then focused the business on manufacturing and marketing industrial paints and varnishes of all types, for all surfaces (wood, metal, composite materials), with fast delivery times, to the greatest satisfaction of his customers/users.
The products are marketed in various sectors of activity: mechanical construction, public works, building, POS, jewelry, industrial and architectural modeling, custom painting according to customer specifications.

The company is equipped with a spectrocolorimeter, allowing for custom matching and tinting, and relies on multi-compatible product system technologies. It also markets the application equipment for its products.

BRAY-CHARNELET PEINTURES, ISO 9001 certified for almost 15 years, is made up of 9 employees.
This oldest agency in the T&G Distribution network has a portfolio of over 350 clients and achieved a turnover of €1,5 million in 2015.

By integrating BRAY-CHARNELET PEINTURES into its network, T&G DISTRIBUTION benefits from 140 years of history, experience and expertise in the industrial world and thus consolidates its know-how in varnishes and paints on all media.

Christian BRAY, director of BRAY-CHARNELET PEINTURES
“Selling my business to the Berkem Group out of a desire to pass it on for the long term”

« Entrusting BRAY-CHARNELET PEINTURES to the Berkem Group was an obvious opportunity for me to seize. It's a French group, on a human scale, and with ambitions that perfectly match what I want for the future of my company: to pass on its legacy in a sustainable way and to actively participate in the challenge of deploying a professional, high-quality distribution network, dedicated to T&G Distribution.
BRAY CHARNELET PEINTURES has been satisfying its customers since 1875. We now want to share our wealth of experience with other T&G Distribution agencies. In return, the network will support us in expanding our business, our geographic reach, and our client portfolio.
