Exclusive to Finnforest Grassedeck, a new concept of wooden slats and synthetic grass for colorful terraces

Finnforest innovates with Grassedeck, a new, exclusive range of resolutely original boards combining a wooden structure and a synthetic grass covering. Beyond its aesthetic advantages, Grassedeck has been designed to withstand the elements for a long time. Composed of a PEFC-certified northern white fir base with autoclave treatment that ensures perfect resistance and a layer of 100% polypropylene fiber synthetic grass, Grassedeck benefits from a lifespan of 15 years. In addition, simple and quick to install, Grassedeck boards are also easy to maintain... thus offering an easy-to-live-with decorative alternative, for furnishing balconies, terraces and terraces, in full color.

GRASSEDECK: A DECO ALTERNATIVE... RESISTANT TO ANY RISK

Grassedeck decking is an ideal alternative for outdoor living with a flooring that requires little or no maintenance. As strong, durable, and stable as a wooden deck, Grassedeck is as colorful as a stretch of lawn.

Particularly aesthetic, Grassedeck allows you to create a multitude of decors. By playing with the positioning of the boards, it is possible to opt for a terrace exclusively in Grassedeck or to alternate with standard wooden boards; preferring long lengths allows you to accentuate the depth effect of the surface. Finally, choosing shorter sections provides a more rhythmic visual aspect. Pleasant to walk on and resolutely flat compared to a lawn, Grassedeck offers multiple advantages both for accommodating tables, chairs and deck chairs as well as for lying on!

On the structural side, the autoclave-treated wood provides protection against fungal and insect pests, not to mention resistance to rain, snow, and temperature fluctuations. It also guarantees consistent flatness. The same is true for the turf, thanks to the 100 mm thick 6% polypropylene fiber, which is guaranteed for 15 years. This synthetic covering is maintained using a brush broom and a mild detergent.

GRASSEDECK: AN EASY-TO-INSTALL TERRACE

Grassedeck boards are fixed to joists (450 mm center distance) using stainless steel screws suitable for a standard wooden deck. The screwing, which is done in the thickness of the artificial grass, then becomes completely invisible for a perfect finish. Finally, to ensure good water drainage, a slight slope is necessary during installation.

Tips and tricks

When building your deck, the boards may need to be cut. In this case, it is recommended to treat the cuts with a preservative and secure the ends of the boards.
