Commercial approach, continuing education, BIM… CAPEB, HAGER and SAGE partners to support artisanal electrical companies
Paris, December 05, 2018
The Confederation of Crafts and Small Building Businesses (CAPEB), HAGER, specialist in electrical installations in the tertiary and residential sectors, and SAGE, publisher of business management software packages, signed a 05-year partnership on December 2018, 3. The objective is to offer artisan construction companies a progressive continuing education program to facilitate the commercial management of their company and familiarize them with new digital tools in the construction sector.
A partnership to facilitate the commercial approach and set the course for BIM
To cope with the BIM revolution and digitalization in the construction sector, it is essential that construction companies receive support. At the same time, improving continuing education opportunities also appears essential to ensure increased skills in business management, particularly in preparing and monitoring quotes.
It is in this context that Patrick Liébus, President of the Confederation of Crafts and Small Building Companies (CAPEB), via its subsidiary Béranger Développement, Sophie Breton, Managing Director of HAGER France and Southern Europe, and Laurent Dechaux, Managing Director of SAGE Southern Europe, signed a partnership agreement on December 05. The parties have committed to adapting their tools to the needs of electrical and electronic installers, in particular by integrating the Hager library of works into the Sage software, and continuously updating it, for refined quotes. The collaboration also includes an e-learning program to help craft businesses take ownership of these tools.
A tailor-made training offer for artisanal electrical companies
The collaboration between CAPEB, HAGER and SAGE will thus make it possible to:
- Develop an e-learning training module dedicated to electrician craftsmen, on the theme of creating quotes using Sage software and using the integrated Hager library of works. Craftsmen will thus be able to improve their mastery of commercial monitoring software, while gaining skills in BIM.
- Offer other training modules under specific pricing conditions appearing in the HAGER catalog aimed at developing the knowledge of craft businesses in terms of electrical certification, sales, charging stations and even security, each module having to be validated in advance by the CAPEB.
- Identify the needs of professional electricians by calling on working groups made up of electricians to enrich the library of works in the long term.
Patrick Liébus, President of CAPEB, declares: "We are delighted that this new partnership can be established. This collaboration will allow CAPEB-member electrical contractors to more easily access online training in their field. The goal is to optimize the sales approach through BIM, allowing them to focus on construction sites. The diversity and development of the training offered will enable electrical installation companies to gain competitiveness and, at the same time, meet the challenge of digitalization in the long term."
Sophie Breton, General Manager of HAGER : "As a manufacturer of electrical solutions, we have maintained a close relationship with installers for over 60 years, offering them ever more innovative products and services and supporting them as their profession evolves. We are convinced that digital transformation is an opportunity for our installer customers to save valuable time and strengthen their relationship with their end customers."
Laurent Dechaux, Managing Director of Sage Southern Europe : "Our role, as a leading publisher in the construction market, is to offer the best solutions that will enable tradespeople to simplify their daily lives and increase productivity. The construction sector must also undertake its digital transformation because digital technology is a tremendous business accelerator. We must do everything we can to help them make the most of the software and mobile solutions we offer today. This involves training and support."
