A thermodynamic water heater is a combination of a heat pump and a domestic hot water tank. The heat pump recovers free energy from the air to heat the water stored in the tank.
The Aquanext range of thermodynamic water heaters from Chaffoteaux is available in two versions (monobloc and split) to meet everyone's comfort requirements:

An ideal solution for meeting RT 2012 standards in new construction, Aquanext offers up to 70% energy savings compared to an electric water heater because it uses ambient or outdoor air to heat domestic water. It also allows you to continue to benefit from 32% savings on a conventional electricity tariff by operating only during off-peak hours.

Aquanext, the most efficient range on the market
The energy efficiency of a thermodynamic water heater is mainly measured by the COP, coefficient of performance, which allows us to translate the relationship between the quantity of heat produced and the electrical energy consumed.
The standard now in force for determining the performance of a thermodynamic water heater is EN 16147, which replaces EN 255-3. It allows thermodynamic water heaters to be characterized according to a daily water consumption scenario and also takes into account heat losses from the thermodynamic water heater tank.
Operating with the heat pump at temperatures from -5°C to +35°C, Aquanext Monobloc displays a COP at 7°C (according to the EN16147 standard) of 2,59 to 2,79; the Split version displays a COP at 7°C of 2,71 to 2,73.
The power of the Aquanext heat pump means that the tank heating time is less than 8 hours, even at -5°C, to offer a level of comfort equivalent to that of an electric water heater.

Installation flexibility
Aquanext thermodynamic water heaters adapt to all configurations.
The single-block version is installed on the ground and two installation configurations are possible:
- Ambient air: suction and discharge of air in an unheated room of more than 10 m2 with free energy (losses from household appliances, semi-buried or buried garage, etc.)
- Outside air: the water heater is installed in a room within the heated volume and away from the living areas. The product is ducted to the outside air.
The SPLIT version tank is installed on the floor (300 l model) or on the wall (150 l or 200 l model) in a small space (cupboard, cellar, etc.) near a living room: suction and discharge of air outside

Quick commissioning
Installing a thermodynamic water heater is as simple as installing an electric water heater. It is connected directly to the day/night switch without any modification to the electrical panel.

The quality of the components ensures the longevity of the product (2-year warranty on parts).
The enamelled steel tank is completed with a titanium anode for permanent protection against corrosion and long-lasting hot water production (5-year warranty on the tank).
