To prevent the spread of sometimes fatal nosocomial infections, Porcher designed the antibacterial sink HygenIQ.

Designed for consultation rooms and at-risk patient rooms in hospitals and clinics, the HygenIQ vitreous china sink destroys more than 99% of bacteria thanks to:

• a patented Hydrofin edge acting as a jet breaker that reduces splashing by 90%,
• improved geometry and a slope designed to ensure better flow and avoid water stagnation,
• an antimicrobial ionic silver SmartGuard+ coating, which facilitates water drainage, prevents bacterial adhesion and prevents biofilm buildup,
• a design without overflow to limit the development of germs.
