Batimat 2017: D+H Mechatronic presents its new digital smoke extraction system

With the integration of Advanced Communication Bus (ACB) technology into its key smoke extraction and natural ventilation components, D+H Mechatronic AG has taken a new step forward in safety, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency. At the Batimat trade fair from November 6 to 10, visitors will be able to experience live communication between a CPS-M smoke extraction unit and a motor (Hall 5A/Stand 143). The German company, a market leader in smoke extraction and ventilation (controls and motors), is offering a preview of the system on display and a glimpse into the future of smoke extraction technology.

Increased communication for optimal efficiency

This new CPS-M digital smoke control unit, equipped with ACB technology, required approximately 17,000 hours of development. In just fractions of a second, it collects and processes information from the smoke control system and translates it into commands for the motors. The unit can control, among other things, the new generation of ZA-ACB rack and pinion actuators for roof systems and skylights, or CDC-ACB chain drives for integrated or surface-mounted installation. The CPS-M always knows precisely the position of the windows, whether they are locked or unlocked, and whether all connections are functioning correctly. Additional interfaces allow integration with the Building Management System, ensuring interaction with heating and fire and burglar protection systems. This comprehensive, cost-effective, and reliable smoke control and ventilation solution is intuitively operated and can be retrofitted into any building.

Integrated technology, the brand's spearhead

At the D+H booth (hall 5A/stand 143), visitors can see for themselves the simplicity of the solution thanks to a demonstration system combining several D+H innovations: control units, a CPS-M control unit, and four motors from the ZA-ACB and CDC-0252 series. The D+H team will explain how the integrated ACB technology can save time and money for planners, installers, and building technicians, with reference projects and case studies to support their claims.
