As the world leader in construction trade fairs, Batimat is the meeting place par excellence for all national and international building professionals.

Batimat is the essential trade fair to discover all the innovations implemented by the greatest specialists through the discovery of their innovative construction projects and the presentation of their brand new high-quality technological inventions.


The building exhibition opens its doors on November 07 at the Porte de Versailles in Paris.

A reflection of the recovery? The 2011 edition of Batimat, which will run until November 12, will welcome 2.400 exhibitors, 40% of whom are foreign (see focus).

Batimat 2011 will be organized around seven spaces and will occupy ten of the twelve pavilions at the exhibition center. All sectors of the industry will once again be represented this year:

Structural Work (Pavilion 1), Joinery & Closures (Pavilions 2.2, 2.3, 3 and 7.1); Equipment and Tools (Pavilions 2.1, 4, 5.2, 5.3 and 6) - with the return of the leading manufacturers of portable power tools; a new Vehicles & Equipment area specially created for this 2011 edition will be located in Pavilion 5.2; finally, Batimat is also the largest IT exhibition for the building industry with a dedicated Pavilion, 5.1.

Energy efficiency and building accessibility: the two major themes of Batimat 2

Batimat 2011 will be a veritable springboard for exhibiting manufacturers to unveil their innovations in line with the challenges of new regulations, whether for energy efficiency or accessibility for all. These two major themes of the show will also be widely represented through the innovations presented for the Innovation Competition and the Design Trophies, which visitors will be able to find in the Innovation area (Pavilion 4) and also in the "New Products Guide" DVD (in 2009, 154 innovations were presented at the Competitions and more than 1000 new products).

Several conference spaces (Rendez-vous des Architectes, Forum Actualités Construction, etc.) will allow visitors and exhibitors to take stock of new regulations and the evolution of practices that they impose on construction industry players.

ZOOM, the "show within the show" dedicated to In & Out design, will offer in the Zoom Access exhibition sector a complete vision of accessibility and more specifically a look at universal design (Design For All) which is now a necessity and must become a reality.

By exhibiting six exemplary projects from around the world that have applied universal design approaches, Design for All by Batimat will be an opportunity, for the first time in France, to show visitors concrete solutions to accessibility issues.

At the same time, the Access tour, available at the show entrances, will allow visitors to discover the innovations developed by exhibitors to promote accessibility and ease of use for all.

Salon opening hours: 9 a.m. to 19 p.m. (17 p.m. on Saturdays)

Metro access: Line 12, towards Mairie d'Issy, Porte de Versailles station or Line 8, towards Balard, terminus.
By tram: Line T3, Porte de Versailles station.
By bus: Line 80, Porte de Versailles station. Lines 42, 39 and 169, Balard station.
By car: Ring road, exit Porte de Sèvres, Porte de Versailles or Porte de la Plaine.

The exhibition center is 40 minutes from Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport by RER, metro or the A1 motorway, and 20 minutes from Orly Airport by the A6 motorway.
