For this reason, bathroom specialist Bette goes to great lengths to design the thinnest possible folded edges for its bathroom elements. Through perfect mastery of materials, the right amount of heat, and a lot of pressure, Bette achieves a thickness of eight millimeters in this area: a record value for glazed titanium steel. These edges ensure that washbasins and bathtubs seamlessly integrate into the bathroom architecture. They do not protrude, even when installed flush.

The robustness of the base material makes shaping difficult. The rim is created by folding the outer edges of the bathtub or basin. There are two reasons for this step: to eliminate the sharpness of the steel and to better glaze this delicate area. To thin their shape, the folded edges are subjected to a force of 250 tons (the weight of fifty elephants) for approximately 40 seconds. Then, the gently rounded assembly is glazed with a calm and expert hand using three extremely thin layers of a specific enameling recipe before being fired at 850 degrees in the titanium steel structure.
