Bourneuf renovates the prestigious hotel on Place de la Concorde

 

By deciding to surround itself with the best craftsmen - those whose expertise in the renovation of listed buildings is recognized in France and abroad - Bouygues Construction's choice for exterior joinery naturally turned to the Lorillard Group. Bouygues and Lorillard had already enjoyed a successful and edifying collaboration on the renovation of the famous palace on Place Vendôme, which began a year earlier. 
The Lorillard Group's strength has also increased following its acquisition in 2016 of Bourneuf, a century-old family business specializing in high-end wood joinery.   Trained in ancient techniques, the Bourneuf teams delivered work according to the rules of the art and took the greatest care in the renovation of the famous listed façade: a remarkable element of the Place Louis XV, so named when it was designed for the monarch, by the famous French architect Jacques-Ange Gabriel. Initially, the construction site of this hotel represented, for the Lorillard Group, more than 360 exterior oak joinery with a high acoustic coefficient and, for some, with a fire-resistant classification to comply with fire protection regulations. In addition to the notion of respecting and protecting the architecture of historic monuments, it is also a question of essential safety. However, the great particularity of Bourneuf is to be able to provide a high-end aesthetic service (by working in collaboration with architects and decorators), acoustic (specific to each space), AEV and thermal, while meeting the requirements of the fire barrier. To do this, Bourneuf developed its own reports. For this project, the group was involved in manufacturing, supply, and installation, from February 2014 until 2016, which represents approximately 5000 hours of work in the workshop, and 3000 hours of installation. Building on its successful performance, Lorillard was awarded a second project approximately 5 months ago. This is the second time that the Group has signed a committed collaboration motivated by the first, and not initially planned in the basic project. The first time, the Group was entrusted with the renovation of the peristyle of the palace on Place Vendôme, after having carried out the exterior joinery. The second project, as part of the renovation of the hotel on Place de la Concorde, is even more ambitious, in terms of technicality: the interior fire-resistant doors require high technicality, with high added value. Thus, the Group proceeded with the delivery of 7 high-end interior double-leaf doors, combining aesthetics and technology. Regarding high technicality, these very large doors are joinery of Fire Cut 2/1 degree (EI2), with an acoustic attenuation of 30Db. Regarding aesthetics, the doors have moldings and sculptures as well as a double glazing fire resistant EI37 mounted in triplicate with engraving and gold silkscreen printing. These doors are also finished in dark mahogany varnish. With 30 years of experience and the acquisition of the Bourneuf company, the French No. 80 in wood joinery stands out once again in the field of design and renovation of high-end works, working on prestigious sites, combining aesthetics and high technicality!
