Caméléo®, the new prefabricated slab floor structure

The RE 2020 environmental regulations are leading concrete manufacturers to adapt to the requirements of CO2 emission reduction. Rector, a prefabrication expert, is betting on the advantages of the column-slab system with its new Caméléo® prefabricated slab floor structure without load-bearing walls, which integrates all technical elements within the thickness of the floor.

The structure has no load-bearing or shear walls, nor any suspended beams. Composed of a frame of posts and a reinforced concrete slab, it offers great modularity and thus allows the construction of buildings whose future transformation can be planned from the design stage.
