CAPREMIB strengthens its Cormicy site to meet growing demand for acoustic screens
Summary for decision-makers
Faced with growing demand for acoustic solutions, CAPREMIB is strengthening its market position with significant investments in its production facilities. The company recently acquired state-of-the-art equipment, including a SKAKO MASTERMIX 3000 concrete mixing plant, increasing its production capacity with a 2,3 m³ mixer capable of formulating new types of concrete. In addition, the introduction of a POTAIN MDT 489 M25 tower crane, with a lifting capacity of 25 tonnes, will optimize lifting operations within the plant, while increasing the surface area of the acoustic barrier production workshop from 1 m² to 200 m². These improvements will enable CAPREMIB to increase its efficiency and respond quickly to market demands.
The work, valued at €3 million, comes on top of a series of previous investments of €6 million in 2024 for a new production unit dedicated to low-carbon precast concrete solutions. This strategy demonstrates CAPREMIB's commitment to innovation and to distinguish itself as a leading player in the acoustic barriers and bio-based products sector. The company is thus committed to addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainable solutions in the construction and housing sectors.
Frequently Asked Questions for Decision Makers
What new equipment has CAPREMIB acquired?
CAPREMIB has acquired a SKAKO MASTERMIX 3000 concrete plant and a POTAIN MDT 489 M25 tower crane to improve its production.
What is the production capacity of the new concrete plant?
The new concrete plant has a 2,3 m³ mixer, thus increasing production capacity and the possibility of creating new formulas.
What is the total amount of CAPREMIB's recent investments?
Recent investments amount to 3 million euros, in addition to 6 million euros already invested in 2024 for other facilities.
CAPREMIB, a leading player in custom concrete prefabrication for construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure, has confirmed its pioneering role in concrete solutions for roads and railways. In response to growing demand for acoustic barriers, the Cormicy site (51) is benefiting from a new investment designed to increase production capacity while reducing the carbon footprint of the concrete produced.
CAPREMIB invests to meet the strong demand for acoustic screens
Faced with the strong demand for acoustic screens, Capremib's 7,5-hectare production site is benefiting from new equipment dedicated to this activity:
- a new SKAKO MASTERMIX 3000 concrete plant, with a larger capacity than the old one, equipped with a 2,3 m3 mixer which will also allow the creation of new concrete formulas;
- a POTAIN MDT 489 M25 tower crane with a length of 43 m under hook, an 80 m jib and a lifting capacity of 25 tonnes. CAPREMIB is taking advantage of this work to replace its other existing crane with a new model with the same characteristics (32,7 m under hook, 55 m jib length, 12.5T product lifting capacity).
At the same time, the acoustic screen production workshop (P4) has almost doubled in size, increasing from 1200 m² to 2 m². CAPREMIB is also expanding its integrated reinforcement workshop by 2100 m², equipped with an automated tool offering significant production capacity.
These new investments, worth €3 million, follow those already made in 2024 (€6 million) for the construction of its new production unit dedicated to the manufacture of low-carbon precast concrete solutions. They confirm CAPREMIB's commitment to always being at the forefront of innovation to position itself as a major player in acoustic barriers and all bio-sourced products.
