Cardinal Jardin arrives in La Rochelle

Cardinal Jardin, the first network of "outdoor landscape designers," is established in L'Houmeau, near La Rochelle, a city from which it will cover the Charente-Maritime region. Charles Spillmann will put his expertise to work in landscaping.

Cardinal Jardin, which is expanding as a franchise, is the very first network of "outdoor landscape designers" in France. In other words, landscapers who are both technical and creative, and who take a radically different look at landscaping. Their work goes far beyond simple garden design, as they strive to create true outdoor living spaces.
Within this framework, Cardinal Jardin's activities are very broad, since they range from the landscaping of gardens and terraces to the integration of green walls and ponds. In all cases, these innovative landscapers combine plants with other materials (metal, wood, glass, concrete, etc.). The network also operates in many other areas such as swimming pool cladding or the creation of stone staircases...
Today, Cardinal Jardin's scope of action is even broader, as the network has just evolved its concept towards equipment, relying on the establishment of a national purchasing center located in Lyon and created with the UTD group, one of the leading specialists in the world of the home. Its landscape designers can now offer decorative products and outdoor furniture, which allows them to offer a comprehensive service.

A CONCEPT THAT MEETS THE EXPECTATIONS OF INDIVIDUALS
In 2011, Cardinal Jardin achieved a turnover of 6 million euros and intends to double this in 2011. The network is aiming for 2012 new members this year and has set a target of 40 in the long term.
The market in which Cardinal Jardin (a franchise network originally based in Lyon) operates is indeed particularly buoyant, as the French show a particular enthusiasm for landscaping their outdoor spaces. Nearly 70% of them have a garden and nearly 4 out of 5 believe that it is a priority selection criterion when buying a house. In fact, the garden is now seen as a place to share, to be enjoyed with family or friends.
