The municipality of Cap d'Agde has modified the town's urban plan over the years and redesigned the town's entrance to accommodate the growing number of residents and create a link between the port and the residential areas.

Respecting the history of the site, developed in the 70s by architect Jean Le Couteur, the A+ Architecture agency, in charge of the project, created a spiral pedestrian plaza spread over several levels. Two central buildings are built on it: the Casino and the Palais des Congrès. Both feature an AA100 curtain wall façade from Kawneer, contributing to the thermal performance of the buildings expected as part of this project, which is part of an environmental approach certified BDO Bronze level.

For the Palais des Congrès, the client wanted a large, curved glass façade with only two support points, one at the top and one at the bottom, capable of absorbing the load of the metal mesh surrounding it. To meet these technical and economic requirements, the Barsalou company, working closely with Kawneer's technical teams, proposed a real technical feat: an AA2 curtain wall whose spines were reinforced by two steel plates.

Kawneer's AA100 curtain wall, over 11 meters high, incorporates 765 mm Kanada AA52 entry doors. Kalory 52 mm open-sash windows complete the design.
