CENTR'AXE

The launch of the CENTR'AXE lock confirms MÉTALUX's commitment to facilitating access to housing for people with reduced mobility.

Compliance with building accessibility standards influences construction habits and product development. While the February 2005 Accessibility Act is being debated following Parliament's adoption of a measure aimed at relaxing one of the Act's requirements, METALUX mobilized its design office to design a solution to implement these new rules. In accordance with the decree of August 1, 2006 and more specifically the decree of November 30, 2007, the solution CENTR'AXE de METALUX takes into account motor impairment and aims to adapt the accessibility of housing to people with reduced mobility.

The launch of the lock CENTR'AXE confirms the commitment made by METALUX to facilitate access to housing for people with reduced mobility, and complete

the offer started with the 9948 PMR, the only easy-to-install multi-point lock, allowing already installed housing landing doors to meet all accessibility characteristics without architectural constraints.

100% normative and comfortable to use, the CENTR'AXE is a new concept of lock with a 300 or 465 mm backset. Designed to accommodate any type of European cylinder, the CENTR'AXE is a 3-point, 3-box mortise lock equipped with a beveled top and bottom bolt, a rectangular central bolt and a comfort bolt METALUX which improves the penetration of the bolt into the strike plate. An additional security feature, the CENTR'AXE is approved for 1/2 hour fire resistance.

Anxious to provide a response suitable for almost all configurations, METALUX propose the solution CENTR'AXE in standard and A2P* versions and also available with a 1-point lock.

The lock CENTR'AXE is already used by door and door frame manufacturers who have chosen to integrate it into their wooden doors. The result is a comprehensive and universal accessibility solution that is very well received by specifiers (architects, project owners, etc.). Attentive, they see in this concept a concrete response that not only allows them to make a construction site compliant, but also offers them the possibility in new construction to maintain the classic dimensions of a circulation while respecting the law on accessibility.

METALUX will be present at the URBACCESS trade fair,

European accessibility and universal design exhibition,
