Circular Foam, a European recycling project joined by Unilin Insulation

Funded by the European Union, the Circular Foam program, deployed in several regions, aims to recycle high-performance rigid polyurethane insulation materials used, among other things, in the construction sector. As the second largest producer of polyurethane boards, Unilin Insulation has decided to commit to this program.

In addition to bringing significant improvements to the material's life cycle, this project aims to bring together stakeholders in the value chain to establish, within four years, a new sustainable circular ecosystem for rigid polyurethane foams. Circular Foam will also enable:

• the establishment of waste collection;
• the implementation of dismantling and sorting solutions;
• the creation of products that are easier to recycle.

By participating in this program, Unilin Insulation hopes to become one of the first players in the market to recycle polyurethane.
