COMFORT + WOOD STOVE Energy savings and user safety
Summary for decision-makers
COMFORT+ system for wood stoves: optimize wood heating
Poujoulat is launching the CONFORT+ system for wood-burning stoves in France, responding to rising fossil fuel prices and the demand for energy efficiency. This system recovers and distributes the heat produced by the stove to several rooms via a heat exchanger and ventilation, ensuring comfort, energy savings, and safety. The system complies with NF DTU standards and features aesthetically pleasing finishes suitable for residential use.

In France, with the increase in the price of fossil fuels, the development of wood energy and the mix of energies, sales of appliances using wood as fuel, and particularly stoves, are constantly increasing.
Consumers are looking for efficient and safe systems to optimize the performance of their heating appliances and to save energy.
COMFORT + wood stove from Poujoulat optimizes the performance of a device by recovering the heat produced to distribute it to the different rooms of the home. Just like the systemCOMFORT + for closed fireplace, COMFORT + wood stove operates under pressure (regular air supply) and provides a pleasant temperature, energy savings and total operational safety.
Principle of the system COMFORT +
The ventilation motor is installed in the attic and draws air from the room where the stove is installed. The air is pushed into the exchanger and heats up on contact with the interior wall, to then be distributed to the other rooms via blower vents.
The temperature probe positioned at the network entrance triggers the system to start upCOMFORT + when the air temperature reaches the desired level. The system can be precisely controlled using a switch (optional).
The heat exchanger for a wood stove is a triple-walled element, equipped with rock wool insulation, allowing it to pass through the ceiling, in compliance with regulations (NF DTU 24.1). It ensures the junction between the chimney flue located in the attic and the connection flue located under the ceiling.
Exchanger pack for wood stove
Compatible only with Therminox or Inox-Galva insulated conduits and the Enamelled connection conduit of Poujoulat, the installation COMFORT + is composed of an exchanger pack which includes:
• the exchanger which is defined according to the range, the diameter of the insulated conduit Poujoulat and the diameter of the enamelled connection pipe,
• the air intake vent, adapted to the diameter of the network (125 mm).
Optimizing the efficiency of wood stoves
Depending on requirements, four motors are available, with flow rates ranging from 250 m3/hour to 500 m3/hour. The ventilation motor can therefore supply hot air to up to four rooms in a home.
Aesthetic finishes
The connection pipe fits inside the exchanger, making it easier to set up the connection of the device. Poujoulat offers an optional finishing rosette, an aesthetic solution to ensure a perfect finish.
System COMFORT + complies with NF DTU 24.2. It benefits from the CERIC Tested label issued by the Center for Studies and Research of the Chimney Industries.
