Optimized channel convectors: flexible implementation adapted to the building
Katherm HK 360: high cooling power
At the ISH 2019 trade fair in Frankfurt, Kampmann will be presenting its new in-deck convectors. The HK range is being further expanded for greater flexibility in installation. The model HK 360 is particularly suitable for high heating and cooling capacities. These products combine high heating efficiency and effective cooling with an elegant visual appearance and particularly low noise emissions.
Katherm HK 360: high cooling power
With a cooling mode power of 5409 W, the Katherm HK 360 is perfectly suited to modern buildings requiring significant cooling. As with all models in the series Katherm, the cooling or heating power (maximum 16 W) is measured according to standard EN 884.
The new dimensions of the channel convectors also provide greater flexibility. They correspond to the current designs of administrative buildings and offices. The size of the units optimally adapts to the requirements of modern architectural trends such as post-and-rail facades.
Another major advantage is that multiple units can be combined and controlled using a common room control. The heating or cooling power can be adapted to each need. If the room layout changes, which is often the case in buildings with frequent tenant changes, the power or allocation of each unit can be adjusted without major modification work.
With the help of interfaces, it is finally possible to integrate all trench convectors into common building automation systems such as KNX, BACnetou Modbus. Since 2018, the company has also been a member of the association. KNXglobal in scope and guarantees the networking and interoperability of its products.
Le Katherm HK responds to the trends of modern architecture
The addition of fresh air modules, adapted to the duct convectors, makes it possible to adapt to new market trends. The systems are increasingly combined with a primary air supply module. They can thus be used as a pleasant air outlet. Such an installation implies positive air circulation in the room: since the convectors are always arranged near the facade, fresh air is blown in, and stale air is discharged towards the corridor. From a design perspective, this solution also has advantages: it does not require additional ventilation grilles in the ceiling or walls.
A tailor-made design
The manufacturer's services are also constantly adapted to current requirements. Kampmann offers a measuring service to ensure a tailor-made design, particularly for large or more complex structures, such as curved facades. When taking measurements, expert teams use a 3D laser to determine the exact, building-specific layout. This service includes factory manufacturing, delivery and initial assembly of the units, and handover to the specialist installer. This saves a lot of time.
