FERMACELL, a specialist and manufacturer of products for dry construction for interiors and exteriors for over 30 years, offers solutions for fitting out your spaces from the basement to the attic.

Gaining space in a home and making the most of its capacity are two good reasons to convert your attic and thus add real value to your property. Indeed, attics often represent a large area that remains unused, while they offer undeniable charm with their windows opening onto the sky.
FERMACELL boards, made from 100% ecological materials (gypsum, cellulose fibers and water), are the ideal solution for transforming attic spaces into bedrooms, living rooms, offices, kitchens or bathrooms!
The advantages of FERMACELL boards are numerous:
- Easy to install, requiring no special tools.
- Quick to implement, drying time is reduced: installation of a covering only 24 hours after installation of the FERMACELL boards.
- Performance, FERMACELL boards provide high-quality thermal and sound insulation.
Available in different formats, they allow, thanks to their easy implementation, to frame windows, create partitions, and lay a floor while providing optimal insulation...
and without having to pour a screed!

Insulation and resistance for secure attic conversion

Once the type of room has been defined, all that remains is to create openings, insulate, and install the FERMACELL panels before creating a cozy nest for resting or even a quiet work space.
Completed with insulation, FERMACELL boards offer high thermal and acoustic performance, thus regulating the temperature in winter and summer and ensuring the peace and quiet of the room in relation to the outside environment. In terms of safety, FERMACELL boards are classified M0 and guarantee fire resistance in the event of a fire. Due to their composition reinforced with cellulose fibers and their homogeneous structure, the boards are also very resistant to impacts. In addition, the load resistance, from 30 to 50 kg per anchor point, allows the installation of storage units such as shelves, bookcases or even kitchen units in complete safety.

Convert your attic in the blink of an eye

The installation of FERMACELL panels does not require any special tools and can be carried out by individuals. It is now possible to create an additional room in the attic according to your wishes and needs.
- Start with insulation by installing synthetic or natural insulation.
- The plates are cut to measure using a circular saw, depending on the dimensions of the room and thus allow a perfect fit to the desired surface.
- For partition or ceiling work, they are fixed to metal or wooden frames using screws or staples.
- FERMACELL boards with straight edges are laid in advance using FERMACELL joint adhesive, while FERMACELL boards with tapered edges are laid using FERMACELL joint tapes and filler.
- The floor plates are installed on site by gluing the battens, then screwing or stapled together.
- After the glue or joint filler has dried for 24 hours, work can continue. All that's left is to install the covering and you're done! The partitions can easily be painted, covered with wallpaper, tiles, or paneling. The floor plates can be covered with parquet, tiles, or even carpet.

Ease of implementation for optimal time savings thanks to FERMACELL accessories

Very easy to work, FERMACELL boards can be sawn, planed, milled, drilled, sanded, bent, cantilevered, screwed, stapled or nailed. To facilitate this implementation, FERMACELL also offers a whole range of accessories ensuring real time savings and optimal results, including:
- FERMACELL joint adhesive for the installation of FERMACELL boards with straight edges.
- Self-drilling screws, which, thanks to the optimized geometry of the thread and the screw head, allow a clean and rapid penetration of the screw and thus guarantee a perfect hold of the plate in the frame (metal or wood).
- Leveling products help to compensate for unevenness and differences in floor levels.

A wide choice of plates for creating all types of parts

Available in several formats and thicknesses, FERMACELL gypsum fiber boards offer a wide choice for fitting out dry or damp rooms for private use.
Lightweight and easy to handle, the "small format" panels (1,50 m x 1 m) are particularly suitable for hard-to-reach areas. The "floor height" format panels (2,40 to 3 m x 1,20 m) can be used for larger roof spaces.
Likewise, for the creation of dry screed, FERMACELL floor panels (1,50 m x 0,5 m) are available, which adapt to all surfaces. Available with or without laminated insulation, it is possible to achieve acoustic gains of up to 34 dB in combination with the FERMACELL honeycomb system.

FERMACELL Powerpanel: a complete range for fitting out wet rooms for private or collective use

Composed of FERMACELL Powerpanel H2O boards (for the creation of partitions, linings and ceilings), FERMACELL Powerpanel TE floor boards (for the creation of a dry screed) and FERMACELL Powerpanel TE walk-in shower tiles, FERMACELL offers a complete range that can be used for the creation, for example, of a custom-made bathroom in the attic. FERMACELL Powerpanel cement-based sandwich boards can be used in all wet areas, whether collective or private. Extremely water-resistant, they do not require any special waterproofing, as the covering can be laid directly on the boards.
