DÉNY FONTAINE is participating in making TGV Atlantique and TGV Réseau trains accessible
As part of the accessibility of public transport by 2015, DÉNY FONTAINE has designed, in close collaboration with SNCF Ingénierie and the contractor TRIOPLAST, a new lock for PMR toilet modules.
New lock for PMR toilet modules
This new mechanical lock with mortise strike plate is designed for swing doors. Its purpose is to facilitate access to toilets for travelers with reduced mobility. By combining indicator lights of different colors (green, red and yellow) with tactile symbols (domed circle, hollow circle and cross), the lock allows all users, including blind or visually impaired people, to know the occupancy status of the toilet (free, occupied or out of service). In addition, the locking button has been specially designed to facilitate its handling.
The new lock for PMR toilet modules from DÉNY FONTAINE will be installed in TGV Atlantique and TGV Réseau trains from 2015.
