Financial aid to reduce our energy footprint
Socoda is launching its guide to assessing the various financial aid options available to improve your home while respecting the principles of sustainable development. Designed for professionals, it provides four key points detailing financial aid, aid for the elderly or disabled, aid for collective housing, and the targeted equipment.
News on financial aid
Scientists are almost unanimous on the subject: the Earth is warming, and human activity is the main cause. Controlling our impact on the planet is a difficult challenge, but the will is now there.
This is undoubtedly the leitmotif of GROUPE SOCODA, the leading French network of independent distributors in the Construction and Industry sectors, which is expanding its library intended for network members and their customers with the publication of its new thematic guide on current financial aid.
Initiated by Philippe de BECO, Chairman of the Executive Board of GROUPE SOCODA, the group's Sustainable Development is based on three strong commitments: solidarity employment, territorial networking, and patronage. Faithful to this commitment since 2004, GROUPE SOCODA's new economic model, announced in March 2010, for the development of a "green margin" (result of the operation: business + sustainable development = sustainable business) clearly demonstrates the group's awareness of everyone's responsibility with regard to global warming.
As such, the new thematic guide "Current affairs on financial aid" aims to inform its readers about all the aid available relating to the development of housing for economic and ecological purposes.
For professionals and individuals, 2005 was a significant year, with the enactment of the Finance Act. This law introduced a tax credit dedicated to Sustainable Development and energy savings to encourage the French to equip themselves with energy-efficient products. Since then, other similar incentives have emerged: 5,5% VAT, zero-interest eco-loans, etc.
Among the multitude of financial aids offered, this work aims to inform craftsmen, installers, technicians... of the laws and regulations in force and the dates of application to better guide individuals, owners as well as tenants, on the aids put in place for the renovation of housing, bringing up to standards, savings and energy production.
A 32-page guide, the book covers the issue in four chapters: financial aid, relevant equipment, aid for the elderly or disabled, and aid for collective housing.
In its first chapter, the guide recalls the main aids: tax credit, zero-rate eco-loan, 5,5% VAT, tax credit on loan interest, eco-subsidy from Anah, EDF and GDF Suez loans, bank eco-loan ... as well as the framework and profile of the beneficiary.
The second point summarizes the equipment concerned: condensing boilers, thermal insulation, wood heating, heating regulation and programming, heat pumps, water heaters and electricity production, all products eligible for aid that the guide lists by product family.
The third chapter sheds light on the assistance provided to the elderly and disabled, who are also eligible for financial assistance for the installation of safety and accessibility equipment in their homes.
The last point covers all the assistance that the co-owner of a collective housing unit can benefit from in proportion to their share.
Finally, the guide ends with a list of useful links allowing the reader to find the contact details of the websites of the organizations involved.
The book also provides a summary of financial aid which groups together the products concerned associated with the available aid.
The guide "News on Financial Aid" is available at SOCODA Network outlets and on www.socoda.com
As part of its approach to Sustainable Development, which includes actions dedicated to solidarity employment and the territorial coverage of its network, GROUPE SOCODA is a founding partner with L'Oréal of the Maud Fontenoy Foundation.
A famous sailor, Maud Fontenoy decided to fight to save the oceans. She is now Vice-President of the National Coastal Conservation Agency.
