Construction sites comply with regulations thanks to SMIE

Organizing a construction site according to current standards is far from easy. To assist project managers with this task, SMIE has developed a multifunctional dashboard, the DLZ342. It records the number of hours worked, the loads lifted, and compiles all the data to enable efficient maintenance and monitoring.

New version of the DLZ342, increased capabilities

A multi-function dashboard, the DLZ342 provides the functions of anti-collision and prohibited zone manager, display, data recorder and constitutes a real maintenance tool.

To meet new construction site demands, SMIE is developing the “recorder” function of the DLZ342.

Until now, the DLZ342 recorded the total number of working hours, the total load lifted, analyzed lifting cycles, and details regarding the last cycles and last recorded events.

Product evolution aims to increase the number of recorded information and records kept. Thus, the number of recorded lifting cycles increases from 10 to 99 and the number of recorded events from 2000 to 9999.

Furthermore, the type of information recorded has been expanded and the DLZ342 now also records:

the fixed orientation position (machine stopping point) in lifting cycles (at the start and end of the cycle);

the total time of use of the orientation (for maintenance needs of the machine's motor/frequency inverter, for example). This recording also allows you to know in which orientation sector the machine has worked the most (for crown maintenance needs, for example)

machine working time distribution information based on the loads liftedThis information makes it possible, for example, to determine the percentage of crane overload time.

Data transfer is always very simple using a standard USB stick, and the information can also be used in the form of tables and graphs. Visualization is carried out on a desktop computer using MS Excel.
