Increasingly precise projects at the Spring Houses Show

Spring Houses: The Undeniable Interest of Wood Construction

Le Spring Houses show which was held at the Strasbourg Exhibition Center from March 26 to 29, 2010, saw an attendance of nearly 17 visitors, equivalent to last year's.

This figure proves, if it were still necessary, thepublic enthusiasm for timber construction, current progress in eco-construction and confirms the interest in the entire range of products offered at this event which brings together Housing, Furniture, Real Estate, Exterior Design and Wood Construction.

In addition to the number of visitors, exhibitors particularly praised the quality of the contacts made. All emphasized the audience's motivation and evident knowledge of the subject. This year, many visitors came with projects that were already well-advanced and well-informed.
All the conferences offered over the weekend were sold out.

Maisons de Printemps is increasingly establishing itself as a trade show where people come to find solutions for their projects thanks to a comprehensive offering, dialogue, and direct meetings with professionals. This is particularly true in the timber construction sector, which has seen renewed enthusiasm this year.

We also recall the strong attractiveness of the second Regional Wooden Houses Awards - competition open to architects and wood carpenters-builders in the region - which rewarded two of the 20 selected projects:

• The FIBOIS Alsace Prize, awarded by professionals in the wood industry, was given to the projects of Natura Concept and Atelier d.org, ex aequo.

• The General Public Prize, awarded by visitors to the show, was also presented to
Natura Concept, awarded a second time.

Spring Houses, the Strasbourg Home Show, will return next year in March.
