DESSO, a European manufacturer of high-end carpet tiles and broadloom, is participating in Architect@ Work - The Square of Innovations - October 6 and 7, 2011 at the Grande Halle de la Villette. A must-have for all prescribers, visitors to this new edition will be able to discover new products and technical solutions on the DESSO stand, including:
The new carpet tiles:
- Twist whose deep, shaggy velvet structure gives meeting rooms, open offices, etc., a relaxed yet luxurious atmosphere. Laid full width or in blocks like rugs, it allows you to create varied atmospheres thanks to its different colors, which range from warm neutral tones to more accentuated ones like green, red, and aqua.
- flow, in structured loop pile with an irregular, organic pattern that creates a non-directional appearance. Its distinctive structure offers architects and designers unprecedented possibilities for interior design. Offered as standard with Ecobase® backing (an ecologically sound and recyclable carpet underlay), Flow benefits from Cradle to Cradle® silver certification. Its color palette offers superb possibilities for combinations and contrasts, and within each color, the combination of matte (background) and satin (relief) yarn tones adds an extra dimension to the product's appearance.
Definitively Cradle to Cradle commitments® :
- the new Econyl fiber, made from 100% recycled materials. Selected by DESSO, this yarn manufactured by the Italian company Aquafil SPA is now featured in more than 60% of the DESSO carpet tile range. This product is made entirely from recycled materials, including post-consumer carpet yarn waste from DESSO's Refinity® factory.
- Carpet Take Back programTM which involves collecting used carpets from customers, regardless of the type of carpet and brand, with the exception of carpets containing PVC. A certificate is issued to each participating customer to ensure that the material is recycled in accordance with DESSO's Cradle to Cradle® principles. DESSO's Take BackTM program plans to continuously optimize logistics and recycling processes.
- Refinity program®, An innovative separation technique specially developed by DESSO. This technique separates the yarns from the carpet backing. The yarn is returned to the manufacturer for reuse. The bitumen from the backing is recycled for use in roofing, road construction, and concrete.
The result of constantly listening to the expectations of architects, interior designers, designers, design offices, etc., these numerous innovations allow DESSO to offer them new solutions that are both aesthetic and environmentally friendly.
