DEWALT launches a new 4Ah battery as a world exclusive

One year after launching the XR tool platform, DEWALT strengthens
the autonomy of this range with a new 4Ah battery. An evolution
major in the professional cordless power tool sector which
represents more than a third of the brand's sales. This new 100% battery
compatible with all tools in the 14,4 and 18V ranges has a weight
identical to the 3Ah version, with no price change. DEWALT is taking advantage of this
innovation to launch seven new tools to complement the XR range.

Autonomy, the primary expectation of cordless tool users
While ergonomics, durability, and performance are essential, runtime remains the number one requirement on construction sites. Indeed, the longer the machine is used, the greater the user's productivity! With its XR range, for "Xtreme Runtime," DEWALT offers an effective response to this expectation.

+33% autonomy, same weight, same size!
Scaling from 3 to 4 Ah, the XR range batteries based on Lithium-Ion Oxide technology gain up to 33% additional autonomy, without any change in weight or size.
This innovation is explained by the composition of the battery cells which use denser materials storing more energy.
In practice, each cell is designed using a superposition of layers wound on top of each other, separated from each other by a semi-permeable lithium separator, insulating the positive and negative electrodes. At the heart of the 4Ah battery, the thickness of the layers has been reduced to make more turns, thus integrating more materials and therefore more energy.

4Ah at the price of 3Ah!
The increase in battery life from 3Ah to 4Ah does not result in any price increase; users can therefore equip themselves better for the same budget.

Optimal compatibility with the entire XR range
All tools in the XR range previously equipped with 3Ah batteries are 100% compatible with these new batteries. The charger supplied by DEWALT for the entire XR range is universal for all voltages: 10,8, 14,4 and 18V, allowing the use of the same charger regardless of the battery.

Better anticipation thanks to the charge indicator!
The new 18V batteries are equipped with a manual charge indicator. This allows you to anticipate the charge level, avoiding unpleasant surprises when you arrive at the construction site!
