Dewalt: new Tough System cart
A new mobility solution for construction sites!
QFormat="true" Name="Intense Reference" />
DEWALT has invented a new construction site partner, the Tough System trolley. Created to facilitate travel from the workshop to the construction site, it is primarily designed to transport several toolboxes in a single trip. With the highest load capacity on the market and highly adaptable, it also serves as a hand truck for moving all the heavy materials on the construction site. Beyond saving time and providing comfort for users, this trolley is proving to be an ally in the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, the leading cause of occupational illness in France.
A reliable ally, the most robust on the market
Made entirely of metal, this large trolley offers the best load capacity on the market. The modular side hooks can each support a load of 30 kg. The wheels are guaranteed to be puncture-proof and offer good cushioning, making mobility easy both on stairs and in the face of uneven construction site surfaces.
To ensure that the crates are held securely on the trolley and to prevent theft on construction sites, a locking system secures all the crates to each other and to the trolley (padlock not supplied).
Adaptable and flexible to use
With the Tough System, DEWALT offers the only trolley on the market with a case clip system and the ability to create shelves. The side hooks quickly and easily slide into the side handles of the boxes. Once the handle is folded down, the box is secured to the trolley.
The trolley is suitable for various uses: up to six pairs of hooks can be installed to accommodate six tool boxes, the height of the hooks can be adjusted simply using an Allen key, they can also be folded up for transporting equipment on the lower shelf, which is itself retractable. The non-slip handle ensures a good grip for optimal maneuverability.
Update on MSDs
Musculoskeletal Disorders
MSDs in France:
β 1st cause of occupational disease and the most compensated1: 7,4 million lost working days2 and 736 million euros of costs covered by company contributions2.
β 1/13 employees experience daily musculoskeletal pain1 .
β 1/8 employees have an upper limb MSD diagnosed by the occupational physician1.
β 81,3% of recognized occupational diseases3.
MSDs in the construction industry:
β nearly one million lost workdays.
β 89,2% of occupational illnesses with stoppage1.
β 75% of occupational diseases with permanent disability1.
β 95,1% of the number of working days lost due to occupational illness1.
Back conditions:
Chronic lumbar spine disorders due to carrying loads represent just under 15% of all MSDs, and 70% of them generate permanent work incapacity.
Among the 9 main risky actions on a construction site, 4 are linked to carrying loads:
β Carry and transport heavy loads.
β Carrying loads repeatedly.
β Moving with loads and obstacles.
β Go up or down while carrying a load4.
Poor working postures, carrying heavy loads, and repetitive movements can very quickly lead to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), even in very young people. 4
