D+H Mechatronic at the EquipBaie trade fair in Paris

A digital link between electronic components

Thanks to its technology Advanced Communication Bus (ACB), D+H creates a link between window motors, CPS-M digital DAC smoke extraction units, and natural ventilation systems. This system makes it easy to program complex fire and ventilation scenarios in any building. At the EquipBaie trade fair from November 20 to 23, 2018, visitors will be able to test D+H's modern technologies: Hall 1, Stand K90.

Even complex scenarios become simple

To better understand D+H technology, imagine a building with several offices arranged along a façade. Each room is equipped with individually controlled windows for ventilation, but which open in the event of a fire. Until now, such a configuration required a group connection to the control unit and separate lines for each office. With ACB, this complicated scenario is a thing of the past. The window motors are now connected to the DAC CPS-M smoke extraction unit via a single group connection and a single line.

The system also controls each motor individually, using "virtual groups." Reduced cable routing and the cost savings on modules provide D+H customers with a real economic advantage.

Precise piloting down to the millimeter

At its booth at the EquipBaie trade show, D+H will be offering numerous demonstrations. Thanks to a touchscreen connected to the CPS-M, visitors will be able to control CDC Series connected chain drives, divided into virtual groups. This provides precise control, down to the millimeter in the case of natural ventilation thanks to the ACB. A small opening at 12,9% or more powerful ventilation at 80%? A single system is enough. The only requirements for this configuration: a CPS-M central unit or simply a Building Management System (BMS), equipped with ACB-compatible motors. The CPS-M, D+H's "digital lifesaver," is, of course, still used for these proven smoke extraction functions.

Direct integration into Building Technical Management

At the show, the company will also present the direct control of a GTB and its brand new Ventilation Motor Controller (VMC). This intelligent interface allows motors to be controlled directly from the Building Management System (BMS). It also offers various digital inputs and outputs and an SMI interface for connecting blinds and roller shutters. Customers can create automated and decentralized ventilation systems with add-ons such as a weather station, temperature sensors, or CO2 concentration sensors. Thanks to the VMC's numerous connection options, only one connection is required from the BMS to the VMC.

A full range of services

In the motor segment, D+H will be presenting its powerful ZA Series rack and pinion actuator for large roof windows and shutters and its incredibly quiet CDC Series chain drive. Both motor models are already equipped with the new D+H bus technology, and others are already in the process of being converted.
