Mandatory electrical diagnosis, is your home safe?

Hager launches the Hager Check application to test your installation in 3 minutes!

Hager will launch a new free application at the Paris Fair on April 27, available on the Apple Store and Play Store, to test the electrical installations of

individuals. This application will allow them to test their installation in 3 minutes. They will simply have to answer a few questions and take photos of the elements of their general electrical installation – in relation to the 6 DEO checkpoints – such as their differential circuit breaker, their EDF meter, their electrical panel but also any exposed wires, sockets and switches, etc. Within 48 hours, Hager experts will send the individual a report that will include a complete report specifying what is not safe or what is without apparent danger. Hager specifies that this assessment is not a substitute for a diagnosis. The application will therefore suggest to individuals a list of partner electricians from whom they can request a free quote in order to assess and carry out the necessary work. This assessment is therefore truly relevant to alert the customer about the state of their electrical installation. Hager strongly recommends a visit from an installer for prevention in order to advise and guide the customer in carrying out safety work. If the electrician carries out the work, he will be able to provide them with a CONSUEL certificate. By obtaining this certificate, the individual will not need to have their home diagnosed since it will be valid for DEO and will be valid for 6 years. However, under no circumstances is the electrician authorized to carry out the DEO. The CONSUEL certificate is filed by an electrical installer following the work he has just carried out. It attests to compliance with the 6 minimum safety requirements during safety work or compliance with the safety rules of the NF C 15-100 standard in force during total renovation work. After 6 years, the client will have the option to renew their CONSUEL certificate with their electrician or to call on a diagnostician to carry out the DEO.
