Home automation: Kampmann presents its control and regulation technology

Kampmann presents its control and regulation technology, developed specifically for home automation. A member of the international KNX association since last year, the company has taken a further step in the increasing digitalization of building management. The various gateway options available allow decentralized heating and/or cooling units or a centralized ventilation system to be connected using a widely used communication standard. The certification guarantees interoperability with products from other manufacturers, also KNX-certified, both electrically and IT-wise, ensuring high design reliability. The gateway, listed in the ETS integration software database, is available for KNX projects worldwide.

With the KaControl app, Kampmann also offers a system for controlling and monitoring systems in cases where integration into a BMS is not possible or desired. The user can then gain a central overview of ventilation, heating, or air conditioning systems and easily change their settings.

KNX: a home automation standard

KNX is used in both residential and industrial sectors. Based on the principle ofInterworking(equivalent of interoperability in French), the bus system allows the control of a whole range of systems: lighting, shading devices, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, but also alarm, security and surveillance devices.

To obtain KNX certification, Kampmann had its gateway certified by accredited laboratories according to the association's quality criteria. The results confirmed that products equipped with the gateway could communicate seamlessly with devices from other manufacturers. Designing suitable units is greatly facilitated by the ETS database, which consolidates all KNX files.

In addition to the KNX gateway, solutions for communication standards BACnetet Modbusare also offered as standard, including some standardized and specific elements for all systems. Settings can be made, as desired, via control boxes KaControlleror externally, using user interfaces connected to the network.

Centralized consoles for building management

The need for centralized control and monitoring is becoming increasingly felt, even in buildings without BMS. In response to this, Kampmann offers its KaControl, a control that offers a user-friendly display summarizing the status of each room in the building in real time and all connected devices. Depending on the configuration, it is possible to read the actual and set temperature, the fan operating levels, the modes of the different devices and any faults. Finally, the application allows you to modify certain settings, such as the ambient temperature of the room.

WithKaControl, Kampmann offers the possibility of connecting independent devices to an existing central system via control and regulation technology. The elegant control box KaControllerallows you to control the various connected devices, in particular thanks to its integrated temperature probe and its modifiable basic display.
