Built in 1969 near Alençon in Normandy, this family home required a complete renovation. The owners took advantage of the renovation to also consider thermal renovations to their home.

Indeed, built of concrete blocks, the property had no external insulation and very poor internal insulation. Heating bills were high, despite the insulation of the attic and basement.

The owners called upon various craftsmen and opted for exterior thermal insulation, offered by the company Alenne Peintures, with the EDIL-Therm® PSE system from Edilteco, offering them multiple advantages.

In total, 200 m² of white EPS, lambda 0.038 W/mK, were installed on all the facades of the house, from the basement to the living areas. The 14 cm thick EDIL-Façades® EPS panels, ACERMI certified, offer a thermal resistance R of 3,70 m².K/W, qualifying for the tax credit.

In addition to other aid granted (Anah, regional council), all the subsidies made it possible to reimburse more than half of the work budget (€21 including tax).
