 The catering and catering professions impose drastic hygiene and safety rules in the exercise of the profession. The regulations set objectives for professionals in the agri-food industry to be achieved with an obligation of results but leaves them a certain latitude in the means to be implemented.

HYGIENE FIRST, A TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION

Developed in partnership with the EHDG (European Hygienic Engineering & Design Group), the new Hygiene First system addresses the hygiene challenges of wastewater drainage in kitchens. Hygiene First Certified NF EN 1253 and NF EN 14159, the "Hygiene First" product range complies with the strictest hygiene standards to prevent bacterial contamination in kitchens. Thanks to the range's design and concept—radiated shape, no retention zones, and fewer welds—wastewater is efficiently drained, allowing for perfect disinfection and cleaning of kitchens.

THE FIRE KIT

In the event of a fire, it is possible for the fire to spread between floors via gravity drainage systems. Drains and gutters are therefore exposed to a significant amount of hot gases and flames, and become vectors for the spread of fire. ACO has developed the Firestop Kit, which prevents flames and smoke from spreading via gravity drainage systems. 
The ACO Kit complies with the following standards: - NF EN 1366-2: Fire resistance tests for technical installations (Test No. PR – 13 to 2.061). - DIN EN 13501: Reaction to fire of construction products and elements. The kit can be connected to any sewerage pipe, regardless of the material: non-combustible SML cast iron drainage pipe, ACO Pipe stainless steel pipe or plastic pipe. 

Food safety, hygiene, and economics in a kitchen are essential, but wastewater drainage is "out of sight" and therefore not considered a priority. As a result, many drainage systems are not designed properly.

Neglecting wastewater drainage risks food contamination, facility closure, and loss or closure of business.
