Erlus: the new Level RS® tile available in two colors

The new flat clay tile, Level RS®, arrives on the market in 2021 in two colors: deep red and intense slate. This smooth, angular tile from ERLUS is the perfect solution for roofs with very low slopes. It guarantees waterproofing from a slope of ten degrees. This solution eliminates the need for complex additional measures. Here, it is the clay tile that provides protection, not an additional waterproofing system beneath the tile.

Perfect for its design and functionality

The new Level RS® tile impresses with both its design and functionality. Its pure, angular shape with its straight nose is particularly striking. In addition, its triple side and head interlocking guarantees excellent water drainage. Even if the roof has a slight slope (nominal slope of sixteen degrees or minimum slope of ten degrees), the structure beneath the roofing remains dry under all conditions. No additional rain protection measures are required.

Approved for its resistance to hail

The entire ERLUS range is certified against hail. The new Level RS® tile is no exception. It has been tested against hail and has achieved resistance class 4. Specifically, during the resistance test, the tile withstood hailstones four centimeters in diameter and weighing thirty grams, projected at a speed of 99 km/h, without damage.

A flat gauge tile in sintered quality

The Level RS® tile is fired at 1 degrees, which gives it the properties of clinker. This firing explains its low water absorption and therefore its longevity.

Great resistance to storms

Cross-laid tiles are much more resistant to storm damage than those laid with straight joints. The Level RS® tile already offers very high resistance without the use of cross-laid hooks. The new model, suitable for particularly low roof pitches, has a pronounced notch for a perfect fit with ERLUS I and II cross-laid hooks.

A practical implementation

In the family of large XXL molds, the Level RS® tile is part of the range of tiles with an average exposure of 38,5 centimeters. It is thus characterized by easy and quick installation. Thanks to its dimensions, this tile is particularly practical to install. The two exposure groups in the ERLUS range: 34 cm and 38,5 cm finally offer great flexibility in terms of product selection.
