Erlus presents its new smoke ducts at the BAU 2015 trade fair
Ducts specially designed for high energy efficiency buildings
The new RT 2012 thermal regulations impose ever-increasing requirements on professionals, particularly regarding the reduction of thermal bridges. Manufacturer Erlus effectively meets these new standards with several new products, such as its ducts specially designed for high-energy-efficiency buildings. These innovative products will be presented at the BAU 2015 architecture and building materials fair in Munich.
The Erlus Premium-LAF dual-flow duct system, already considered particularly energy-efficient, is now officially certified by the Munich Institute for Thermal Insulation Research (Münchner Forschungsinstitut für Wärmeschutz eV = FIW) for use in passive houses.
The LAF Premium double-flow flue allows the heating appliance to operate independently of the ambient air, even with solid fuels. With this intelligent duct, combustion air is taken from outside by a specific device, located at the level of the crown slab. It is brought to the fireplace (wood or pellet stoves) through a space between the tube insulation and the flues. The fresh air intake is designed so that siphoning of the fumes evacuated by the duct is impossible.
The Premium LAF duct prevents heat loss and optimizes the operation of the heater. This specific system also provides real comfort of living in inhabited premises. The composition of the bushels and the technical quality of the accessories indeed offer excellent airtightness, demonstrated by "Blower-Door" tests. The Erlus Premium LAF duct therefore meets all the requirements of the RT 2012 thermal regulations, and is particularly suitable for low energy consumption buildings (BBC) and passive houses.
Premium type conduits are available as masonry units or prefabricated floor-height units for the following configurations:
· Edelkeramik Erlus double-flow ducts for condensing boilers operating under overpressure,
· All homes using solid fuels.
New solutions for the duct foot inside the home
Modern houses less and less often have basements. The base of the duct is in this case positioned in the living rooms. It therefore appeared necessary to create a new design for optimal visual integration into the overall decor of the room. On the occasion of the BAU trade fair, Erlus will present an attractive new solution.
The manufacturer will finally present a novelty that will allow chimney sweeps to work cleanly, reducing the projection of dust into the home.
The novelties of Erlus fireplace systems will be presented in January 2015 at the BAU trade fair in Munich, Hall A3, Stand 403.
