EureK 2: the warning grid and network detector by electromagnetism

Every year, thousands of sections of buried networks are damaged during local works due to late or imprecise detection. To prevent these incidents, Courant has developed a range of tools for the reporting and precise detection of buried pipelines for the public works sector. Among these tools is EureK 2, a warning mesh that accurately indicates the route of pipelines using electromagnetism.
Network reporting EureK 2 is first of all a warning mesh which, placed in the trenches 20/30 centimeters above the structure, allows it to be signaled and even identified thanks to the different existing colors: red = electricity; green = telecom; yellow = gas; etc. Complying with the standards NF P 98-331 (roads and outbuildings - trenches: opening, backfilling, repair) and NF EN 12613 (rules of distances between buried networks and rules of proximity between networks and plants), the Eurek 2 warning mesh also complies with the standard NF EN 12613: which testifies to the durability of the device in terms of mechanical resistance and the retention of its color. Network detection The warning mesh is associated with the Courant EureKfil electromagnetic network detection system. Equipped with stainless steel conductor wire, it allows buried networks to be identified in planes and at depth with the greatest precision – Class A according to the network anti-damage regulations of the DT-DICT decree of February 15, 2012 = less than 40 cm of maximum uncertainty margin – thanks to the injection of a low-intensity electromagnetic current.
