Evasol facilitates access to electricity in Morocco
In collaboration with the Moroccan National Electricity Office, Evasol plans to install photovoltaic panels to provide isolated homes or those without electricity with access to power and thus power electrical appliances. Life becomes more comfortable, and residents are less tempted to abandon the countryside to live in Casablanca.

Morocco and solar energy: Electricity for all!
EVASOL supports the rural electrification program of the National Electricity Office (ONE) of Morocco
Lyon, March 23, 2010 - EVASOL, the French market leader in photovoltaic equipment, is providing its support to ensure equitable access to electricity for all Moroccan homes. This initiative aims to provide solar electricity by installing photovoltaic panels in isolated homes that do not receive electricity through the traditional grid. With these panels, the residents benefit fully from low-cost electricity.
EVASOL contributes to the energy development of isolated areas in Morocco
EVASOL announces its commitment to helping disadvantaged Moroccan households access electricity through photovoltaic panels. Indeed, in some sparsely populated regions, connecting to the electricity grid is difficult or even impossible, which justifies the use of an alternative solution accessible to all: solar energy. This initiative relies on the involvement of three stakeholders:
· Mohamed Attoumane, a Moroccan socio-economist, has worked continuously with local associations for many years on rural development issues. Commissioned by EVASOL, he identifies potentially beneficiary households.
· TEMASOL, the main solar concessionaire under the global rural electrification program, is responsible for the installation and maintenance of the facilities.
· EVASOL contributes to financing the solar electricity bill of the households concerned.
A custom installation
Identified households are offered a solar electricity contract that includes installation and complete service. Each home is equipped with a solar generator consisting of a panel, a battery, and a regulator. This electrical energy is stored in a solar battery, making it available day and night to power electrical appliances. The electronic regulator automatically manages its charging and discharging.
The solar contract guarantees the equipment and maintenance for 10 years and provides real service thanks to the installation of a solar generator, low-energy lamps, 12V sockets and wiring.
For these households, the equipment is free and the monthly payment is advantageous compared to the actual cost of the equipment and service received.
A project that offers sustainable benefits through solar energy
Solar energy improves daily life and brings genuine well-being to these households with low energy needs. Photovoltaic installations are a profitable investment, thanks to their lower cost than building electricity grids and their long-term reliability. EVASOL, with the support of the Moroccan government, is committed to financing the installation's 10-year warranty.
Furthermore, promoting access to electricity and modern comforts helps reduce the rural exodus to Casablanca's slums that the country is facing. Finally, solar energy is a clean energy source, and thus guarantees environmental protection (lead-acid batteries are recyclable).
EVASOL, the leader in the photovoltaic market in France, is investing internationally
In France, EVASOL is a key player in the energy market, offering turnkey photovoltaic equipment solutions. In recent years, incentives have significantly reduced equipment prices, contributing to the sector's strong growth. For developing countries in particular, photovoltaic energy represents a promising opportunity to provide electricity to households without access to it.
Stéphane Maureau, CEO and founder of EVASOL: "My 20 years of experience in the solar energy market have reinforced my conviction that solar energy represents an adequate solution to solving the energy gap observed in certain areas of the world. This action is a concrete way for us to provide support to isolated Moroccan households, thanks to our know-how."
