Avoiding collisions between cranes thanks to SMIE

Construction site safety is a problem that requires reliable solutions. To prevent two cranes from colliding, SMIE has developed a specific system consisting of a sensor, software, and a dashboard for monitoring. This allows construction sites to operate in compliance with current regulations and ensure everyone's safety.

AC246 and DLZ342, category 2 anti-collision systems

Meeting the high requirements of the EN14439 standard on tower crane safety, SMIE continues to innovate by offering the AC246, a category 2 anti-collision system according to the EN954-1 standard and by adapting its DLZ342, a multi-function dashboard (anti-collision and prohibited zone manager, display, data recorder, maintenance tool).

These category 2 products, expected by large construction sites and crane manufacturers, offer them the possibility of working in compliance with the machine directive.

By integrating Category 2 requirements, the AC246 and DLZ342 manage interference between cranes, wired up to 30 cranes and radio up to 21, as well as the protection of sensitive areas.
