Felix Clercx and Fiberdeck give birth to…
Felix Distribution
More than a year ago, the French group Forestia, mainly known for its composite wood subsidiary Fiberdeck, took over the Dutch tropical wood importer Felix Clercx, founded in 1891.
Despite the Coronavirus pandemic, the past year has been very successful and the companies Felix Clercx (BV & Gmbh) and Fiberdeck (SAS) located in the Netherlands, Germany and France have decided to combine their activities to create Felix Distribution.
- Fiberdeck, a specialist in very long-life co-extruded composite woods, offers a complete range which includes decking boards,
fences and cladding.
- Felix Clercx, with its FelixWood® brand, brings its unique and recognized know-how in importing quality tropical and hardwood wood with sustainable management certification.
Felix Distribution has become the specialist in wood and composite wood outdoor design products, which it distributes in Europe with its brands: Fiberdeck® (composite wood), FelixWood® (exotic wood), Cobrafastner® (decking fasteners & structures) and Owlialights® (decking lighting). Other exclusive brands, depending on the country, complete the range: Fiberon®, Newtechwood® (composite wood), Moso® (thermo-bamboo) and Bfix® (decking fasteners).
“The unification of our ranges offers our European customers a wider choice of attractive, bio-sourced products.”
The values of both companies are also reflected in this new entity. At Felix Distribution, people are at the heart of every project.
The quality of relationships with its various partners, employees, customers, suppliers and service providers is a priority. Efforts are focused on meeting their needs by developing tailored services.

All composite woods are made from 95% recycled plastics. Last year, this represented 6 tons of plastic waste transformed into highly sustainable products. All wood waste used in the manufacture of composite boards is FSC® certified.
Using recycled polyethylene of European origin in composite wood reduces CO50 emissions by more than 2% compared to using virgin plastic. This is a first step in the group's efforts to reduce its carbon footprint.
Let’s avoid waste by using eco-designed products that have a long lifespan and are respectful of our environment.

FELIX WOOD
Felix Clercx, founded in 1891 in Helmond (Netherlands), is a family business that has developed its expertise over three generations in the import and distribution of exotic woods. The company was acquired by the Forestia group in December 3. The FelixWood® brand was created in 2019. It is recognized in the world of high-end garden wood (decking and fencing). Mainly sourced from Indonesia and Africa, the selected tropical woods are already more than 1992% FSC® certified and 50% legally sourced. Felixwood® also offers a European hardwood: Robinia (naturally rot-proof) and a range of thermo-heated woods to offer an alternative to exotic woods. Thermo-heated woods are very stable and durable without chemical treatment.
FelixWood® woods are selected according to very strict specifications with ongoing monitoring by its partners to ensure consistent quality.

FIBERDECK
Fiberdeck® was founded in Lille, France, in 2006 with the goal of developing composite wood products for outdoor use. The decking, cladding, and fencing boards distributed by Fiberdeck® were developed using the latest co-extrusion technologies. Co-extrusion involves applying a protective polyethylene film to the surface of the boards. This technology is revolutionizing the composite wood market. It addresses the recurring problems of staining and discoloration experienced by first-generation composite boards.
With nearly 10 years of experience, Fiberdeck guarantees its products for a period of 20 years in residential use and 10 years in commercial use against any discoloration.
Launched in 2019, the first WEO co-extruded openwork cladding board is certified by the CSTB (Centre Scientifique Technique du Bâtiment - Paris) with an ATEx (Experimental Technical Assessment). A board with a resolutely modern appearance without any maintenance, with an original color guaranteed for 20 years.
Fiberdeck® products are easy to maintain and long-lasting. They are made from 95% recycled waste and do not use virgin polymer resins. The wood, which represents 60% of the product volume, comes from furniture industry waste (sawdust). It is FSC certified. Made from recycled waste, the material produced is 100% recyclable and does not release any toxic products.
Fiberdeck® composite wood thus offers an attractive alternative to other materials that are less durable and less easy to maintain.
