Focus on proposals for assistance with the energy renovation of buildings
The 2012 Finance Bill was presented to the Council of Ministers on September 28, 2011, by the Ministers of Finance and Budget. The government has expressed its determination to continue its efforts to improve the energy efficiency of buildings.
He proposes to modify the zero-rate eco-loan and the sustainable development tax credit (CIDD), with the objective of'encourage owners to undertake energy renovation work packages. Thus, the more renovation work individuals undertake, the more advantageous the tax benefits will be.
Focus on proposals for assistance with the energy renovation of buildings:
- A 10-point revaluation CIDD rates in the event of carrying out packages of work.
- The accumulation of the eco-loan and the CIDD is again possible with a threshold of €30 not to be exceeded.
- The zero-interest eco-loan will go from a current duration of 10 years to a 15 year term for major renovations such as the installation of equipment using renewable energy.
- The tax credit could reach 50 % for large-scale renovations compared to 13 to 45% currently.
On the other hand, measures could reduce or even eliminate certain tax benefits:
- The replacement of windows and doors would no longer benefit from the tax credit if this action did not fall within a project of bouquets of works.
The installation of photovoltaic panels and solar panels would no longer benefit from the 22% tax credit, but from 20%.
- The 2012 finance bill is expected to be voted on before the end of the year. Batipôle will return to these measures, which will impact both construction professionals and individuals.
