With this new category of blades, Freud intends to become THE reference on its market by covering a maximum number of applications while being compatible with the biggest tool brands. 

Innovation, the spearhead

Since its creation in 1962, the Freud company has continued to develop innovative technologies for its blades and to invest in its factories, particularly in new production methods, in order to adapt to market developments. It thus has a wide range with more than 1000 references of circular saw blades, and covers all applications in the secondary processing of wood., with a presence to date particularly marked on stationary and semi-stationary machines.

More performance for the laptop

With over 250 references, the new range of circular saw blades, optimized for portable machines, is the most comprehensive on the market.



Compatible with all major tool brands, it offers diameters from 120 to 355 mm and covers 8 applications: wood, construction timber, melamine panels, sandwich panels, HPL, fiber cement, aluminum and multi-materials.



For each application, Freud has developed new features to improve the performance and life of the tools' blades and battery.



- Tooth geometry and carbide grades have been optimized for each application to guarantee the best cutting quality and ensure high robustness and impact resistance.



- PermaShield non-stick coating across the entire range. This high-tech coating

red guarantees high precision and long-lasting cutting performance. It reduces friction

and protects the blade from corrosion.



- New anti-vibration slots : for a quieter, smoother cut with minimal vibration.



Battery optimization



The major innovation in this new range of circular saw blades is the distinction made between blades for corded and cordless saws. Freud has, in fact, developed blades specially designed for battery-powered machines to improve their autonomy.

Unlike standard blades, They have a thinner blade body and adapted teeth that facilitate cutting and considerably reduce friction with the material and jolts for the battery.

As a result, battery life is optimized.

 With a cordless tool market that is still developing but continues to grow, Freud aims to make the corded/cordless distinction a market benchmark.

A “Made in Italy” production

Freud blades are produced entirely in the Fagagna factory located in the Udine region, in the Northeast of Italy. Its production capacity makes Freud the world's leading manufacturer of circular saw blades.



One of Freud's great features is its Martignacco carbide factory. It is thus the only tool manufacturer to produce its carbide in-house, which allows it to control and monitor its quality throughout the production cycle., from the supply of raw materials to finished tools.
