Often leaking and difficult to handle, the packaging of powder products intended for DIY and construction (plaster, facade coatings, tile adhesives, etc.) makes points of sale dirty and is impractical for consumers.

Gascogne Sack, the third-largest bag manufacturer in Europe, has developed small-capacity valve bags (up to 3 kg) for the DIY market in DIY stores. These are reinforced kraft paper bags made from Landes pine (a completely natural, PEFCTM-certified material) with:

• A reinforced handle (placed on the spout side),

• A pouring system,

• Solutions for opening and closing the bag (guarantee of cleanliness).

Different valves are available: heat-sealable valve or Japanese cuff.!

Construction jobs are often physically demanding. Masons, plasterers, tilers... Many suffer from back problems. And for good reason: they carry highly unergonomic bags that can weigh up to 40 kg! A real health problem.

THE GASCOGNE SACK SOLUTION:

For the first time on the market, Gascogne Sack, the third largest bag manufacturer in Europe, is offering a paper bag with two high-strength handles approved for up to 3 kg.

The bag can thus be carried with both hands, in a position that is good for the back. A great tool to help prevent MSDs (musculoskeletal disorders). The handles are cut from the bottom strips of the packaging, at both ends of the bag, on the mouth and the bottom (top and bottom). Nearly a year was spent developing the texture and the bonding that

allow the handle to withstand operator handling and the weight of the product. The easy-carry bag has been tested by operators and safety managers.

To open a bag of cement, workers usually break it with a shovel so that it spills into the designated area. This has several drawbacks: the worker is no longer at his or her post, and the system is far from practical.

Gascogne Sack, Europe's third-largest bag manufacturer, has, for the first time, developed an easy-to-open concept for paper bags for construction materials weighing up to 3 kg. A "tircell" system (a sort of pull tab) has been placed on the bottom of the bag. Pull it and the bag opens instantly.
