GEALAN CREATES THE EVENT AT THE FENSTERBAU 2010
GEALAN, the undisputed leader in colored profiles, will be present as usual at the international Fensterbau trade fair in Nuremberg, stand 5 -
103. The French subsidiary will exclusively present the brand new range dedicated to France.
This high-performance 74mm range was developed in partnership with French industrial joinery companies in order to meet their current and future expectations (RT 2012).
In fact, the design of this range with 6 internal chambers allows it to achieve a thermal performance coefficient Uw of 0.8.
The other major advantage of this new range lies in its incredible aesthetic modularity. With 3 openings, 4 glazing beads and 4 hinges to choose from, the
The Acryl 8000 range allows the creation of 12 windows with different configurations and appearances, each of the 12 configurations being available in 14 shades.
acrylcolor and 35 veneer shades, making 600 possibilities in total.
This new range and its 100% Calcium-Zinc formulation is of course in line with GEALAN's environmental commitment (remember that GEALAN is the only manufacturer certified by EMAS, the voluntary European environmental management system).

GEALAN FRANCE CONFIRMS ITS COLOR POSITIONING AND LAUNCHES “ACRYL SYSTEM”
The manufacturer GEALAN, a recognized specialist in colored window profiles, is supporting its network of partner manufacturers by launching the ACRYL Système brand. This umbrella brand, designed to be directly usable for individuals, structures the GEALAN France color offering. From now on, GEALAN offers two materials for the production of windows: PVC and acrylic. Acrylic (plexiglass/PVC coextrusion) is a revolutionary material, more environmentally friendly than decorated wood, more efficient than aluminum, and as effective as PVC. GEALAN thus offers its manufacturers the
possibility of offering ACRYL System windows in 3 finishes: acryl (white), acrylcolor and acryldéco.
In addition, the range manufacturer GEALAN is asserting its color positioning more than ever by offering manufacturers the possibility of ordering a shade of gray.
additional in acrylcolor, RAL 7016 (Anthracite Gray), which brings the offer to 16 colors. Anyone wishing to find out more about acrylcolor can

including the coextrusion process, through which GEALAN has been producing colored profiles for almost 30 years. The website presents the advantages of
acrylcolor profiles. They are extremely resistant (scratches, bad weather) and their colors keep a new appearance throughout the life of the window. The product requires no maintenance. These advantages are the result of the inseparable fusion process of PVC and plexiglass that takes place during production. The unique surface appearance of acrylcolor represents a considerable competitive advantage for GEALAN manufacturers and a loyalty and customer retention tool.
customer acquisition. The numerous construction site references that the user can consult online attest to the possibilities of use, both tertiary and residential. The laminated color chart is not left out, and is enriched with 17 special films, thus bringing the GEALAN laminated film offer to 35 colors.

GEALAN INNOVATES WITH A GLAZING SOLUTION
With STV (dry polymerization of the glazing on the sash), GEALAN is launching a new technology onto the market at the Fensterbau/Frontale in Nuremberg.
glued glazing for the manufacture of windows. Unlike previously known bonding systems using liquid glue, the GEALAN concept is
a special adhesive strip allowing the glazing to be bonded dry. This technique, which bears the name STV (registered trademark), allows firstly a
high level of prefabrication thanks to the factory-pre-assembled profiles of the adhesive strip. In this way, the manufacturer can carry out the glazing bonding
without investment in machinery and without impact on the usual production process. A glazing positioning time is obtained by spraying
of an aqueous solution.

LARGER JOINERY, HIGHER UF VALUES AND ENHANCED SECURITY
The STV technique makes it possible to create particularly large elements. STV significantly improves the thermal performance of the window by completely or partially removing steel reinforcements. STV also makes it possible to stiffen special frames and arches. The Uf value improves by an average of 0,2W/m²K.

ALTERNATIVE REINFORCEMENTS
Of course, it is not possible to eliminate the presence of reinforcements in all cases to improve statics (central upright of an OF2 for example). In this case, and to eliminate the thermal impact of the usual steel reinforcement, GEALAN has developed reinforced composite reinforcements.

EVEN FURTHER...
In addition to these innovations and thanks mainly to the bonded glazing (STV) which leaves the reinforcement chamber free, GEALAN has developed a polyurethane foaming technique for resuming production. The profiles are then processed in conventional manufacturing: cutting and welding are
practice without worrying about the presence of foam. The recyclability of the profile remains intact, the foam being easily separable.
Tests carried out at the IFT in Rosenheim have shown that the combination of these innovations makes it possible to achieve a Uf coefficient equal to 78W/m²K. Such
performance combined with glazing with Ug of 0,4 and Swisspacer IV interlayer allow the window to achieve values of around 0,61W/m²K!! Here we are beyond the performance required in the context of the passive house.
