Theben launches the “Black Edition” of its VARIA 826 KNX multifunctional room controller with glass display

Theben, a global manufacturer of time-controlled devices (time controls, lighting controls, and temperature regulation), is launching the new "Black Edition" version of the VARIA 826 KNX, its programmable room controller with an integrated clock. With a sleeker, more discreet design, it blends into the most refined interiors. Now available with a black glass display, the VARIA 826 KNX is a multifunctional device capable of managing heating, air conditioning, ventilation, as well as lighting and blind control. Thanks to its weekly time programs, it provides both comfort and energy savings. Compatible with the KNX* standard, it can be integrated into the home automation networks of high-end residences and commercial buildings.

A NEW, MORE DESIGNER COLOR 

The "Black Edition" of the VARIA 826 KNX consists of an attractive and modern black glass screen equipped with simple and ergonomic aluminum pushbuttons. Very slim (housing dimensions of 93 x 128 x 15 mm), it blends harmoniously into modern and refined interiors, and is intended for both high-end residential and contemporary buildings. Once flush-mounted, only the LCD interface (Dot Matrix of 132 x 72 points) with variable backlighting appears, making this multifunctional device a truly elegant and stylish decorative object.

A MULTIFUNCTIONAL PROGRAMMABLE ATMOSPHERE CONTROLLER

The VARIA 826 KNX can manage numerous room functions such as heating, air conditioning/ventilation, and lighting. It offers the possibility of group or individual programming that can cover up to 8 rooms. With 4 preconfigured operating modes (Comfort, Eco, Night, and Frost Protection), it has been designed for easy use by all. It can also be coupled with presence or motion detectors to further improve comfort and energy savings.

4 FUNCTIONS GROUPED IN A SINGLE DEVICE:

• Heating regulation: its programmable thermostat individually regulates up to 8 rooms according to different heating programs, however the temperature remains manually adjustable in each room.




• Ventilation/air conditioning control: the VARIA 826 KNX ensures a regular and sufficient supply of fresh air, thus helping to improve occupant comfort.




• Lighting control: simple touch lighting controls allow you to turn on or adjust the lighting in several rooms of the home (hallway, kitchen, living room, etc.). Lighting moods such as "Reading" or "Television" turn on certain lamps and vary their intensity automatically.




• Blind control: This control allows you to open, lower, or adjust the sun protection systems. These positions can then be memorized and repeated at certain times.

*The KNX global standard for home and building management is an open communication protocol enabling interoperability with all other equipment in an EIB, EHS and Batibus bus type installation.
