Designed to reduce the risks associated with awkward postures
The new Leborgne nanovib® telescopic handle scraper was developed to significantly reduce the risk factors associated with awkward postures. Designed for concrete formwork construction, this telescopic handle tool is three times longer than a traditional scraper. Unique on the market, it can clean concrete residue from double metal formwork panels and walls up to five meters high. without having to hold the handle above the rotator cuff (the main cause of shoulder MSDs). An essential ally, in line with the Leborgne® approach, which prioritizes the health of companions through its range of innovative nanovib® tools, equipped with optimized ergonomics.
Improving the hand tools used daily on construction sites is part of the range of solutions to reduce hardship and the risk of accidents. With this in mind, and in direct connection with the criteria of the Personal Account for the Prevention of Hardship (see box), Leborgne®'s priority research areas for the development of its products are: lightening tools, optimizing ergonomics, improving working positions, absorbing vibrations and reducing noise pollution. The telescopic scraper has thus been integrated into the innovative Leborgne nanovib range®, tools that contribute to improving working conditions on construction sites.
At the right height and without difficulty
The telescopic handle (from 2 m to 3,50 m long, three times that of a traditional tool) of the new Leborgne nanovib® scraper allows the worker to work safely with his feet on the ground; this avoids him having to erect scaffolding to be level. He can thus scrape concrete residue on walls and formwork up to 5 m high without having to hold the handle above the rotator cuff. The main cause of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) of the shoulder, rotator cuff pathology results in pain, loss of range of motion and strength in workers affected by this condition.
Very simple handling
The automatic handle of the Leborgne nanovib® telescopic scraper, with a pinless locking/unlocking system, ensures rapid adjustment of the handle length in notches every 40 cm.
The bent blade offers two working angles, allowing you to choose the optimal orientation to efficiently scrape fresh or dried laitance. The blade's corners are rounded to avoid scratching the surfaces to be scraped.
The extra-hard tempered steel blade of the Leborgne nanovib® telescopic scraper ensures high resistance, inEssential for scraping and cleaning formwork and walls. For added strength, the tool's socket is reinforced with two rafters, and the 2 mm thick hardened aluminum tube ensures both lightness and strength.

Hardship Account

The introduction of the Personal Account for the Prevention of Hardship (CPPP) provides for the consideration of hardship factors and occupational risks for the acquisition of accumulated points by exposed employees and establishes new obligations for employers. The 10 hardship factors, which were identified as part of the pension reform, are being taken into account in two stages, in 2015 and 2016.
Since January 2015, the Personal Account for the Prevention of Hardship has come into force for 4 risk factors: night work, work in successive alternating teams involving at least 1 hour of work between midnight and 5 a.m., repetitive work, work in a hyperbaric environment.
From 1er July 2016, the Personal Account for the Prevention of Hardship adds 6 risk factors to its list: manual handling of heavy loads, awkward postures, mechanical vibrations, chemical agents, extreme temperatures and noise.
In response to these challenges, the Leborgne® brand has, for a long time, been aware of the role it could play in the design of innovative tools which contribute to the protection of the health capital of professionals and the prevention of hardship in the construction industry.
In 2011, Leborgne® launched the Leborgne nanovib® formwork hammer, the first tool on which the Design Office worked to reduce vibrations. Leborgne® was quickly convinced of the value of developing a complete range that took into account issues related, in particular, to Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) suffered by professionals on construction sites.
Today, the Leborgne nanovib range® relies on more than 20 tools aimed at different trades, from masonry to carpentry, including public works. Leborgne innovation® focuses on solutions which help to reduce certain factors of hardship, as defined by the Labor Code: mechanical vibrations, repetitive work and movements, noise, manual handling of loads, difficult postures.
