Insulate the attic with ease with K Therm Chevron from Home Pratik
Summary for decision-makers
Summary for decision-makers
The K Therm Chevron from Home Pratik is a polystyrene insulation panel designed for insulating attics or vertical walls of framed houses. With a lambda value of 0,032 W/(mK), it offers high thermal performance and easy installation thanks to its notches and compact dimensions (610 x 1000 mm).
Available in three thicknesses (60, 70, and 90 mm) and lightweight (0,5 to 0,7 kg per piece), K Therm Chevron adapts to various configurations. Easy cutting, flexibility, and A+ indoor air quality certification optimize installation speed and efficiency in new construction or renovation projects.
Made from grey expanded polystyrene, the K Therm Chevron panel from Home Pratik provides insulation for attics between the rafters or trusses of the slopes and roof, whether for new construction or renovation.
K Therm Chevron: a high-performance, flexible and easy-to-install insulation solution
K Therm Chevron from Home Pratik: increased insulation and small, practical dimensions
K Therm Chevron has an elasticity that allows for easy installation thanks to its fine notches. K Therm Chevron also guarantees effective insulation (lambda of 0,032 W/(mK)) over the entire surface of the attic or vertical walls of frame houses (between the studs).
With a width of 610 mm and a length of 1.000 mm, - small dimensions allowing easy transport and handling - K Therm Chevron is available in three thicknesses for each insulation need and configuration: 60 (R = 1,90), 70 (R = 2,20) and 90 mm (R = 2,85).
The implementation of K Therm Chevron is carried out in just a few steps:
In order to proceed with the implementation (from the inside on a sound frame, in new or renovation), the dimensions between the rafters must simply be measured and transferred to the K Therm Chevron panel, with 1 cm more, to be cut to size with a handsaw. The cut panels are then placed in advance, between the rafters, with ease thanks to the notches in the polystyrene allowing flexibility of the panel.
Once the entire surface is covered, a protective and finishing facing will be positioned over the insulation (a lining such as Panelplac Reno from Home Pratik, a simple Panelplac BRA 13 or TOP board)
The new K Therm Chevron from Home Pratik offers an efficient, quick and simple solution to offer yourself an extra piece in a jiffy!

Frequently Asked Questions for Decision Makers
What are the thermal performance characteristics of the K Therm Chevron from Home Pratik?
The K Therm Chevron has a lambda value of 0,032 W/(mK). The thermal resistances are: R = 1,90 (60 mm), R = 2,20 (70 mm), R = 2,85 (90 mm).
What are the dimensions and weight of K Therm Chevron panels?
Each panel measures 1000 mm in length and 610 mm in width. Available thicknesses are 60, 70 or 90 mm with respective weights of 0,5 kg, 0,6 kg and 0,7 kg per piece.
How is the K Therm Chevron installed?
Installation is carried out by cutting the panel to the dimensions between the rafters plus 1 cm, then it is easily positioned thanks to its flexible notches. A finishing facing is then applied over the entire insulated surface.
Thematic glossary for decision-makers
K Therm Chevron
Notched polystyrene insulating panel, designed for thermal insulation of attics or walls in framed houses.
Thermal resistance (R)
Index indicating a material's ability to limit heat transfer; expressed here from 1,90 to 2,85 depending on the panel thickness.
Lambda (l)
The thermal conductivity coefficient of the material, for K Therm Chevron it is 0,032 W/(mK).
