JACKODUR KF 500 and KF 700 obtain CSTB certification

Insulation panel manufacturer Jackon Insulation continues to strengthen its JACKODUR KF 500 and JACKODUR KF 700 ranges by obtaining the 'Jackodur Parking' certification, issued by the Scientific and Technical Center for Construction (CSTB). This certification allows these products to be used for parking roofs.

To create an inverted roof accessible to vehicles, compression-resistant thermal insulation is essential. JACKODUR KF 500 and 700 extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation panels are installed in a separate layer on a waterproofing coating and withstand compression of 500 kPa and 700 kPa respectively. They can be used for parking areas accessible to light and heavy vehicles.

High thermal performance

The roof's thermal performance is enhanced by interposing the waterproof JACKODUR WA non-woven fabric between the insulation panels and the added protection. The non-woven fabric is loosely laid, ensuring its continuity by overlapping the strips by at least 15 cm. The added protection can be achieved by a layer of concrete poured on site.

 Key Benefits:

• Highly compressive thermal insulation with 500 and 700 kPa
• Construction of roof surfaces with cast-in-place concrete, prefabricated concrete slabs or interlocking paving stones
• Laying a layer up to 320 mm
• Thermal insulation reliably seals against weather conditions
