Jackon Insulation launches two new thermal insulators

JACKON Insulation offers two new products for insulation without thermal bridges: JACKODUR JDS, the insulation for formwork, and the JACKODUR strip for wall edges.

JACKODUR JDS for exterior insulation

This rigid extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam insulation simplifies the concreting of the slab. Quickly installed, this product serves as an insulating slab and prevents the formation of thermal bridges. JACKODUR JDS is ideal for the construction of passive houses or positive energy buildings (PEBs).

The individual formwork elements fit together using a tongue and groove. Once the adhesive has cured, JACKODUR JDS withstands the pressure of the concrete. JACKODUR insulating formwork is waterproof, rot-proof and free from harmful HFC gases for the environment.

JACKODUR JDS insulating formwork can be fastened to various substrates. On a brick wall, the formwork is fixed with mounting foam or in a bed of mortar. On aerated concrete, fixing is carried out with PU glue. Finally, on sand-lime brick or concrete, the support is sealed with PU glue or a mortar applied in a thin layer.

 JACKODUR – A strip for edging walls

With the JACKODUR wall edging strip, JACKON Insulation is also launching a high-performance insulation for door and window openings or to gable areas in double-skinned walls. The masonry openings are then completely framed by this border, thus avoiding thermal bridges at the openings, areas which are often sources of heat loss.

These wall edgings are waterproof and rot-proof. Featuring a finished embossed surface, they allow for immediate plastering without wasting time. They can be cut to size with a simple cutter, jigsaw, or handsaw. They can be fixed with dowels, nails, or glue, as desired.
