Kanopée sunshade, new solar protection for homes

 Faced with climate change and current demands to reduce energy consumption while improving summer comfort, KAWNEER is innovating with KANOPEE, a new range of aluminum sunshades dedicated to the individual and collective housing sector.

By controlling light penetration and solar gain, sunshadesKANOPEE provide benefits related to summer, thermal and visual comfort, by limiting overheating of the facade. They also constitute an important key for the aesthetic improvement and the enhancement of real estate assets, whether new or renovated.

In order to meet all needs, all exposures and maximum effectiveness in terms of protection, the sunshade KANOPEE allows an outward projection of more than 1 meter and a maximum width of 3 meters per module.

A stylish and high-performance offer
In order to offer the most advanced technical and aesthetic solution and meet the requirements of architects, professionals and end users, the new sunshade KANOPEE is the result of a collaboration between KAWNEER engineers and designer François BURON from DIEDRE Design.

An offer available in two aesthetic lines
KANOPEE is available in two aesthetics and thus offers a wide choice of architectural possibilities:
- aesthetic " Blades »: made up of nested aluminum blades fixed to a pre-machined console using aluminum parts and stainless steel screws.
- aesthetic " Setting »: made up of aluminum blades fixed on a tilting console by stainless steel screws and a finishing frame around the entire periphery.

Simplicity of manufacture and implementation
The main technical characteristics are identical for the models "Blades " and " Setting "
- straight cuts of the blades,
- assembly with stainless steel screws,
- pre-machined consoles for quick fixing of the blades,
- wall mounting parts adjustable in 3 dimensions.

- finishing tip allowing self-positioning and locking of the blades.

- inclination adaptable to the slope of the roof of the house,
- fixing console allowing self-positioning and locking of the blades,
- scalable peripheral finishing strip,
- possible integration of LEDs in the finishing strip to reinforce the lighting and the exterior ambiance.

New interactive configurator to imagine and visualize projects
KAWNEER has developed a configurator, accessible on the internet, which allows you to create and view the sunshade model in 3D in just a few clicks.KANOPEE according to his wishes.
The user can freely choose, view and instantly change the style of their house, the color of the facade and that of the sunshade(s).
In addition, depending on the selected criteria (surface area, room orientation, region), the configurator allows you to obtain information on the potential energy gain, after installation of the sunshade. KANOPEE.

A wide choice of colors
With a wide range of colors and numerous finishing aspects, the KAWNEER aluminum joinery offer allows great architectural freedom, thanks to the color charts:
• INTEGRAL with more than 300 shades,
• ARBORAL, with 9 shades, perfect imitations of wood grain,
• ANODISEAL, with more than 40 anodized finish colors
• unlimited two-tone color, one interior color and one exterior color,
• TEXTURAL, with 10 shades with a grained appearance,
• TEXTURAL evolution, a new color chart of 10 modern and contemporary powder-coated shades which opens up new fields of creative expression in architecture,
• thanks to the two-tone finish, it is possible to mix the different shades: a different color for the slats and for the frame.
