KAWNEER produces the aluminum joinery for a villa with a view of Marbella
To create this villa with spectacularly large openings, architect Tony Murphy called upon the expertise of KAWNEER to create all the joinery and an aluminum curtain wall that offers panoramic views of the sea and the Andalusian mountains.
Designed on one level, this 200 m² house is built along its entire length, forming a vast living space. The partitions have been reduced to a minimum to provide complete freedom of movement. Only the mezzanine bedroom and the bathroom are separated by a half-height wall, preserving the owner's privacy. Outside, the villa extends onto a pergola and a garden with a swimming pool.
To take full advantage of the landscape, the north facade, almost entirely glazed, was created from a KAWNEER AA100 curtain wall nearly 6m high. This system was custom-made to integrate curved glazing that emphasizes the curve of the pool, as well as large KASTING RT100 sliding windows allowing circulation between the villa and the garden. On the south facade, high KASSIOPÉE hidden opening windows let in light while protecting the house from prying eyes.
To create this house, KAWNEER and his technical team supported the architect from the very beginning of the project and developed custom systems perfectly adapted to the building's constraints. Thus, all the joinery was combined with smart glazing that modulates thermal comfort according to the season: it evacuates heat outside in summer and retains it inside in winter.
To match the villa's understated, masculine design, the curtain wall, sliding doors and windows were made in the Anodisal Cristal shade for a contemporary look.
