Knauf Insulation to invest in new stone wool production unit

Knauf Insulation has announced a major investment in a new stone wool production facility located in the border region between Luxembourg and Moselle (France). This investment will exceed €100 million and create approximately 120 local jobs.

Production at the new plant will begin in mid-2019 and will have a capacity of over 110 tonnes of rock wool for supplying key construction applications, such as rendered facades and ventilated cladding, flat roofs and metal sandwich panels for the French, German and Benelux markets.

Major renovation works have also been announced on the existing stone wool production lines in Surdulica (Serbia) and Nova Bana (Slovakia).
